Welcome to the final recording of our eight-part moon mapping meditation series,
Where we find cosmic alignment in our daily lives by honoring the current lunar phase.
Feel free to return to this visualization every month when you need to slow down and rest,
Dropping into deep gratitude.
Remember there are no rules or specific outcome you are supposed to achieve in this meditation.
Simply being here with your breath,
With your body,
Is enough.
Let's begin.
Find a quiet and comfortable place to sit or lie down.
Slowly start to feel your body softening and settling.
Begin to notice which parts of your body are meeting the earth beneath you.
Gently close your eyes or take a soft gaze towards the floor.
Whatever allows you to feel safe and supported.
Let your shoulders begin to melt down away from your ears and feel your collarbones start to expand wide from side to side.
Ever so slightly,
Tuck your chin in towards the chest to create a bit more space in the back of the neck.
Return to your familiar garden where you have spent so much time meditating,
Cultivating,
Celebrating,
Honoring,
And releasing.
Take a moment to look up at the night sky and connect with the sight of the waning crescent moon,
The final slender sliver of light before she disappears into her new phase.
As the moon's shape gently fades,
You'll find solace in making space for the new cycle,
Just as the garden of your experiences is prepared for fresh seeds.
Begin to deepen your breath,
Inhaling deeply,
Allowing any tension in your muscles to soften,
And exhale slowly,
Tuning down any distractions in the mind.
The air around you is filled with a sense of completion and peace,
Feeling that there is nothing left to do but simply be here in this moment.
In this garden,
You'll find the same tree that has been your constant companion through this meditation series.
However,
It's different now.
It stands bare as a symbol of your journey,
Having shed its remaining leaves and fruits in the cycle of release during our last meditation.
The soil beneath the tree is enriched by the decomposing leaves and fruits,
Nourishing the earth for the next cycle.
Just as this garden is prepared for new seeds,
So are you.
Inhale deeply,
Absorbing the renewing energy of the waning crescent,
And exhale slowly,
Feeling a sense of spaciousness and gratitude for the cycle completed.
Repeat to yourself,
I take time to rest and reset,
Feeling gratitude for the entire journey.
I take time to rest and reset,
Feeling gratitude for the entire journey.
I take time to rest and reset,
Feeling gratitude for the entire journey.
Take a moment to reflect on your journey.
What intentions have come to life?
Where did you take risks and make mistakes?
Maybe you achieved your goals or only part of them.
Remember that the lunar cycle is cyclical.
Everything we experience,
Good or bad,
Informs the next cycle,
Making us stronger,
Wiser,
And more capable of achieving our dreams.
Under the low light of the waning crescent moon,
Allow your body to rest into this sense of fullness for what you have experienced.
Let gratitude be the essence of what you plant in your next lunar phase.
Gently place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly.
Breathe into the end of this lunar cycle,
Letting it come to a close by clearing any to-do lists from your mind,
And simply letting the mind join the body in a state of ease and rest.
Begin to deepen the breath,
Taking bigger inhales and exhales.
As you embrace this moment of rest and reflection,
Recognize the importance of gratitude for every experience,
Both the shedding and the growth.
The waning crescent moon serves as a reminder that each phase of the journey is essential for the next one to flourish.
Before we close,
Let your mind scan through your journey as you imagine the little seedlings you planted under the new moon,
Growing roots as you explored your vision under the waxing crescent moon,
Defying gravity by sprouting above the surface of the soil at the first quarter moon,
Growing into its fullness and taking shape as a tree under the waxing gibbous moon,
Embracing its full expression as it flowered and blossomed under the full moon,
Sharing its unique gifts and fruits of wisdom at the waning gibbous moon,
Shedding its unused leaves and fruits to fertilize the earth at the last quarter moon,
And finally preparing to restart the cycle again by sitting in stillness as you are,
Now beginning to cultivate the seeds you will plant under the next new moon.
On your final breath,
Return to your garden,
Wiping the slate clean,
Clearing the weeds,
Visualizing fresh fertile soil ready to hold the seeds of your next intention,
Your next dream.
When you are ready,
Gently begin to float your eyelids open,
Carrying a deeper wisdom and appreciation for your journey.
Allow yourself to feel a sense of completion and closing,
While also trusting that the best is yet to come.
Thank you for joining me on this waning crescent moon meditation.
This is the last meditation in our moon mapping series.
As you know by now,
The moon keeps on cycling,
Weaving her lunar magic over again every month,
So I will see you in a few days as we begin again planting your next seeds on our new moon meditation.
