Hello,
My name is Angela Rose,
Self-love coach and meditation instructor.
And today's meditation is all about letting go.
Letting go of anything no longer serving you.
Letting go of the worries,
Stress,
And thoughts from the day.
I invite you to make yourself comfortable either by lying down or sitting up in a comfortable position.
Close your eyes.
We're going to start with a tension and release exercise.
So on your inhale,
I want you to take in a nice deep inhale and tense up your whole body from your face down to your toes.
Tighten every single muscle and squeeze it all in,
Bringing your shoulders to your ears.
And exhale,
Fully release,
Letting go and relaxing your body.
Work with your breath here.
Take another deep inhale,
Tightening your whole body and hold it in as long as you can.
Exhale,
Fully releasing,
Letting go.
Take another big inhale.
This is the last one.
Tighten your whole body.
This time,
Hold it for a little bit longer.
Exhale fully letting go,
Feeling your whole body.
Exhale fully relaxed,
Allowing the bed or the floor,
Whatever supporting you,
To fully hold you like a mother holding her infant,
Feeling nurtured and cradled.
Maybe you imagine feeling this nurture from your higher power.
Maybe it's God,
Mother Earth.
You're fully supported,
Fully cradled here.
And imagine everything that's on your mind.
Imagine your to do list,
The things you've been worrying about.
And I want you to put them in a suitcase.
And just set the suitcase at your side,
Letting God,
The universe,
Mother Earth,
Take care of all of your worries,
Just for this time that we are together.
Knowing that right now there's nothing else you need to be doing,
Except for just to be here with yourself right now.
We want to invite the thoughts in.
So as thoughts come about,
Deepen and slow your breath.
So every thought that you have,
Come back home to yourself by taking a deep breath in and imagining your breath flowing down to the lowest part of your stomach,
Bringing it down even to the area between your hips.
This is our root chakra area,
Our sacral plexus area,
The energy source where we receive.
We're opening up these two chakras with today's meditation.
We're letting go and receiving.
We're allowing the message of the universe of your higher self to come through today.
We're going to start with your eyes.
And even though your eyes are closed,
Notice the colors and the shapes that you see.
Move down to your nose,
Relaxing the muscles around your eyes,
The muscles around your nose.
And just notice the smells that you smell.
Next we're going to move down to your jaw.
Fully relax your jaw.
Using all the muscles,
Letting your jaw open.
Placing your tongue at the top of your mouth between your upper teeth and your gums.
Feel the muscles around your ears fully relax.
Notice the sounds you hear in the distance and up close.
Moving down to your throat.
Imagine your throat open.
You're able to express.
You're able to share.
Your throat fully opened and relaxed.
It is safe to be you.
Moving your awareness to your chest,
Fully opening your chest,
Maybe even dropping your shoulders down and back.
It is safe to be you.
It is safe to be open.
Imagine a golden mist color in the center of your chest.
And with every inhale,
This golden mist hugs and loves on every cell in your body.
As you deepen your breath,
The golden mist spreads through your body,
Filling you with peace and love.
Your whole body feeling fully relaxed.
Allowing your body to feel very heavy and also light.
Experience what your body feels.
Notice any areas of tension.
And see if you can bring your breath to this area of tension in your body.
We have our body is so spacious.
There's so much space even in between the cells in our body.
So you're just bringing your breath,
Opening and expanding your whole body,
Even the areas where you still may be feeling some tension.
Maybe you feel some pain.
Maybe it's emotional pain.
Maybe it's physical.
Wherever you're at today is okay.
It's okay to be wherever you are today.
Bring your breath to the upper part of your stomach.
Feel your stomach expand on your inhale like a hot air balloon that's raising you higher and higher into the sky.
And on your exhale,
Fully releasing,
Coming back down to the earth,
Safe and grounded.
Take another deep inhale and this time bring your focus to the middle part of your stomach.
You may even want to place your right hand on your stomach and your left hand either on your stomach or your heart.
Bringing your breath to the lowest part of your stomach,
Feeling it rise and fall,
Rise and fall.
Notice the natural rhythm of your breath,
How your body naturally knows how to heal itself without you having to do anything to keep it going.
Your body has a natural way of flowing.
It knows what to do.
You are a part of source energy.
Infinite wisdom,
Infinite peace and joy.
You are not separate from that,
But a part of it.
Witnessing here the rise and the fall,
The highs and the low,
Maybe the highs in your life or the lows in your life.
Or the happy positive thoughts or the negative sad or stressful thoughts.
We are just witnessing becoming aware.
And notice how your body or your mind may want to do something when you have these thoughts.
It may feel the sense of urgency.
And part of meditation,
Part of this practice is coming back home to ourself and staying with ourself like a mother staying with her upset or crying child.
Just holding,
Just creating space.
And that's what we're doing here with ourselves.
We're holding space for ourself to feel urgency,
To maybe feel irritated or uncomfortable or maybe calm or joy.
Whatever you're feeling,
Just be a witness to it and know that urgency is a lie and that there's nothing you need to do right now except for just to be with yourself.
Bring your awareness to your arms,
To your hands,
To your fingers,
All 10 fingers.
And now to your hips,
Your whole legs,
Your feet and all your toes.
Now I want you to imagine going to a place where you feel calm and peaceful,
Where your higher self loves to be.
Maybe this is an actual place.
Maybe some place that you've been in the past.
Maybe it's a whole made up place.
Go to this place.
Maybe it's on a beach.
Imagine how your whole body feels.
Imagine your thoughts here.
In this place,
I imagine myself to be at a beach.
I'm on a very comfortable chair,
Leaning back.
Your feet are in the sand.
Notice how your feet feel.
Maybe it's warm.
Maybe you enjoy the feeling of the sand massaging the bottoms of your feet.
Notice the breeze that goes by.
Maybe it's a warm but cool breeze against your face.
Notice if you are alone here,
Enjoying the peace and quiet,
Or if there's people around you.
Notice the sounds you hear in the distance.
Do you hear kids laughing,
Or maybe the seagulls talking to each other?
Maybe you just hear the sounds of the waves,
Enjoying nature,
Enjoying how the waves have their natural rhythm and flow,
Just like your heartbeat,
Just like your body.
And your body is syncing up with the waves that you hear.
On your inhale,
Imagine a wave flowing in through your body,
Cleaning out anything no longer serving you.
And on your exhale,
Just like the wave moves back into the ocean,
It's taking anything no longer serving you with it.
And with every inhale and exhale,
You get to choose how you feel.
You get to choose what comes into your body.
Maybe it's peace and calm,
That calm in with the wave on your inhale.
And on your exhale,
Maybe you let go of any worry or stress.
There's a quote that says that everything in this life is neutral.
We choose to give it meaning.
So here we're just going to imagine everything in your life,
Everything that you're working through right now is neutral.
It's neither good,
Neither bad.
It just is what it is.
And you have the power to choose however you want to feel.
Maybe that is peace and calm.
If there's anything no longer serving you,
If there's anything now that you're ready to let go of,
Imagine on your exhale,
Sending it out to the ocean,
Out to sea,
Trusting that nature has a way of taking all the yuck and making something beautiful with it.
Just like compost,
When people put their compost over their gardens.
It's amazing how Mother Earth knows how to take that,
How to take the leftovers,
How to take the things that we no longer need to create beautiful flowers or fresh fruit or vegetables from it.
We don't need to know how it happens or why,
Just trusting that it's possible.
So anything no longer serving you,
Imagine releasing it into the earth or into the waves.
And bringing in the feeling of how you want to feel.
And imagine this feeling,
Hugging and loving,
Spreading throughout your body.
Notice how it feels to fully let go and release.
You can repeat this mantra in your mind.
The wisdom of my soul knows the way I trust in it.
The wisdom of my soul knows the way and I trust in it.
The wisdom of my soul knows the way and I trust in it.
I'm going to read a poem called She Let Go by Reverend Sapphire Rose.
And you can imagine yourself letting go of anything no longer serving you.
She let go of the fear.
She let go of the judgments.
She let go of the confluence of opinions swarming around her head.
She let go of the committee of indecision within her.
She let go of all the right reasons,
Wholly and completely,
Without hesitation or worry.
She just let go.
She didn't ask for advice.
She didn't read a book on how to let go.
She didn't search the scriptures.
She just let go.
She let go of all the memories that held her back.
She let go of all the anxiety that kept her from moving forward.
She let go of the planning and all of the calculations about how to do it just right.
She didn't promise to let go.
She didn't journal about it.
She didn't write the projected date in her day timer.
She made no public announcement and put no ad in the paper.
She didn't check the weather report or read her daily horoscope.
She just let go.
She didn't analyze whether she should let go.
She didn't call her friends to discuss the matter.
She didn't do a five-step spiritual mind treatment.
She didn't call the prayer line.
She didn't utter one word.
She just let go.
No one was around when it happened.
There was no applause or congratulations.
No one thanked her or praised her.
No one noticed a thing.
Just like a leaf falling from a tree,
She just let go.
There was no effort.
There was no struggle.
It wasn't good and it wasn't bad.
It was what it was.
And it is just that.
In the space of letting go,
She let it all be.
A small smile came over her face.
A light breeze blew through her.
And the sun and the moon shone forevermore.
Take three deep breaths in through your nose,
Exhaling out of your mouth.
And having a slight smile on your face.
And notice how it feels to just let go.
How does it feel to surrender?
How does it feel to trust in the wisdom of your soul?
I want you to think of one thing that you are proud of yourself for and maybe it's something little,
Minute,
But it's one thing that you are proud of yourself for.
Maybe it's something recent or something from a long time ago.
Notice how that feeling feels in your body.
Your body is wise.
Your body knows what it needs to heal and to grow.
Your minds can sometimes get in the way of feeling our soul truth.
There's nothing you need to do,
No action you need to take.
We are just witnessing and observing.
You are exactly right where you are meant to be because you are there.
Everything has led you up to this moment of right now.
Your higher self,
The part of you within yourself that believes in you,
That knows just how things are going to go for you.
The part of you that is confident and sure of yourself.
She has a message to share with you.
Your future higher self has a message just for you.
She or he wants you to know something.
Take in this message now.
What do they have to share with you?
You get to create whatever life you want to create and you get to feel how you want to feel.
You get to feel today and tomorrow.
Imagine placing this feeling in the center of your chest,
In the golden mist,
Carrying it throughout your whole body,
Filling you with this exact feeling.
Maybe you want to feel confident and calm or abundant and peaceful.
Imagine the feeling starting to come back into your body.
You can choose to listen to the music and just be or waking your body up by moving your body gently until you're ready to end the meditation.
If you choose to stay here a little bit longer,
Just witness your breath rise and fall.
Witnessing your breath on the inhale and exhale.
Noticing how there's nothing you need to do to keep your body alive.
Just like in nature,
There's nothing you need to do to keep nature going.
Nature naturally knows what it needs.
We are not working towards a perfectly maintained yard.
Imagine the woods or the jungle or a beautiful field of flowers,
How it naturally knows how to grow and look beautiful on its own.
Life can feel messy,
We can feel messy as humans,
Just like nature.
But you are wonderfully and perfectly designed by the creator and made to experience an amazing,
Beautiful,
Joyful life.
And this starts with the thoughts that we think.
We don't have to feel beautiful or confident to know that you are.
Today's message is to know that you are whole and worthy and lovable and loved,
No matter if you feel it or not.
I hope you enjoyed the meditation.
I believe in you.
Thank you.
God bless you.
God bless you.
God bless you.
God bless you.
God bless you.
