Hello and welcome to the Good Evening Meditation here on Insight Timer for relaxing,
Letting go and finding peace as you're weighing down for the evening.
To begin this guided meditation,
I'd like you to take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
One more time,
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
And just allow yourself to relax and let go in this moment.
Any thoughts that you have inside of your mind,
Allow them to drift into your awareness and then allow them to float away.
As you begin to do that,
You can allow yourself to become present and connected with this very moment.
Any thoughts that come into your mind,
Allow them to drift into your awareness and then slowly allow them to float away.
Before we begin relaxing and letting go,
I would like you to reflect upon the day that has passed as you can slowly unwind and recollect your thoughts as you can find peace in this present moment.
So as you sit there or lay there,
Allow yourself to reflect upon the day that's gone.
Notice all that's been and gone and imagine now sitting by a tranquil lake.
As you relax and let go in this present moment,
Listen to the sound of silence,
Almost as if you can barely hear the sounds of the birds and nature that surrounds you,
So that you can truly find this peace and serenity within you.
Notice the slow ripples of the water as you allow yourself to slow down and unwind for the evening.
As you sit there,
Watching the lake,
Notice the reflections in the water.
As you see the beautiful reflections of nature,
You may even notice a reflection of yourself.
As you reflect back on the day that's been and gone,
Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
And as you do that,
Allow yourself to release and let go of any stress or tension that you may have in your mind or your body in this moment.
Take a deep breath in through your nose once more and out through your mouth.
As you release all of that tension in your body now and release all of those thoughts that you have in your mind.
Slow down,
Unwind and find that peace and serenity within you.
As you reflect upon the day that's passed,
Now allow yourself to lay down by the lake.
As you look up to the stars,
Notice your inner connectedness with one and everything as you stare up at the stars.
Know that there is a lesson and learning in each and every experience if only you allow yourself to reflect upon it.
Be grateful for all you have in this moment,
In the knowing that the universe will always provide for you.
It's always important to note that yesterday is history,
Tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift and that's why they call it the present.
So honour the gift that is life and be thankful and grateful for all that you have as you can let go,
Relax and unwind from the day that's been and gone.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Allow yourself to become comfortable and at ease.
Notice you relax each and every muscle and fibre in your body so that you can have a peaceful and tranquil sleep.
Any thoughts that you have inside of your mind,
Again allow them to drift into your awareness and then allow them to float away so that you can have a peaceful and tranquil sleep.
Slowly allow yourself to drift off.
