Using butterflies as our teachers, this meditation is designed to shift your energy from chasing to receiving. When we are in receiving mode we draw things to us. When we are chasing something, we are actually pushing away the very thing we want to manifest. This calming and centering meditation helps you remember how to shift your energy to the vibration of receiving.

Transcript

Hi,

This is Andrew Martin from Andrew Martin Energy,

And this is a meditation to put you in receiving mode.

When we are in receiving mode,

We draw things to us.

When we are grasping or reaching for something,

We're actually chasing away the very thing that we are so eager to manifest.

This meditation is designed to shift your energy from grasping to receiving.

If you'd like,

For this meditation,

You can light a candle or grab your favorite crystal to join you.

Find a comfortable spot and settle in.

We're going to do three deep breaths together,

In through the nose and out through the mouth.

And when you're drawing that breath in through the nose,

I want you to imagine that you're drawing the breath in through the top of the head,

Almost like you have a set of lungs at the top of your head.

And on the exhale,

As you're breathing out of the mouth,

I want you to imagine that you're pushing that breath all the way out the top of your head,

Engaging your diaphragm to really push out all of that depleted oxygen.

So we're going to do a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Feel yourself settling in.

Feel your body beginning to relax.

We're going to take another breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Good.

Just relaxed and present,

Using your breath to come fully into the body.

And we'll do one more breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Make any adjustments to your posture or your position to allow yourself to be fully comfortable for the duration of the meditation.

In your mind's eye,

Imagine before you a beautiful meadow.

The sun is shining.

A gentle breeze is stirring.

It's warm,

Comfortable,

And safe.

This meadow is filled with the most vibrant wildflowers,

So bright and colorful.

You're watching these flowers as they're waving slowly back and forth in the breeze.

As you move towards the meadow,

You notice that there are also hundreds of butterflies here.

They are bobbing gently from flower to flower,

Taking their time,

Enjoying the sun in this calm,

Peaceful space.

As you enter the meadow,

You notice a clearing in the middle.

Begin to walk towards the clearing.

As you approach the clearing,

Notice how the butterflies scatter when you move towards them.

Whenever you stop and pause and go still,

They return to their flowers.

But each time you try to catch one or get close to it,

It flutters away just past your grasp.

As you reach the clearing in the center of the meadow,

Sit down on the ground and get comfortable.

You are surrounded by flowers,

Watching the butterflies float from blossom to blossom as the sun streams through the trees.

Continue breathing.

Drop into your heart and bring your awareness to the center of your chest,

Continuing to breathe in and out,

Feeling the gentle rise and fall of your chest as you breathe.

Keep breathing.

As you calm and center your energy,

Notice that the butterflies relax too.

They respond to your energy.

When you are calm and centered,

So are they.

When you are reaching and running,

So do they.

With your focus now on the center of your chest,

Ask your body to show you what it feels like when you are in receiving mode.

Feel the space that opens up in the center of your chest and your torso.

Feel the tension start to slide from your body,

Slipping down past your feet.

Feel how expansive and limitless you are.

Notice how everything becomes still,

Centered and calm.

Feel any tension dissolving from your body as your muscles relax and your nervous system settles and opens.

Keep breathing.

Now ask your body to show you what it feels like when you are in grasping or reaching mode.

Immediately,

You can feel that space start to close up.

Feel the tension return.

Notice the anxiety or irritation that starts to rise.

You don't have to claim it.

Simply observe it.

When we go into grasping mode,

We start thinking about scarcity.

We start thinking about lack.

Our focus shifts to all of the things that we believe are missing or that we don't have.

And our energy immediately contracts.

Keep breathing.

Now instruct your body to return to receiving mode.

Feel the tension as it drops away.

Feel the relaxation as it returns.

Notice the stillness that emerges,

Like the surface of a lake that is perfectly smooth and glassy.

As you move back into receiving mode,

This time watch the butterflies.

As you drop into your chest and expand,

Notice how they start to slowly move towards you.

Keep breathing and feel your limitations drop away.

Observe how far and wide your energy field can go when you allow it.

Notice how the further out you expand,

The more connected to your center you feel.

Pay attention to how balanced and open your body and nervous system are.

Keep breathing.

As your energy field continues to expand,

Repeat after me.

I am now calling to myself all that I require for the manifestation of my highest expression.

I am now allowing my creator self and my non-physical partners to bring to me the circumstances,

Resources,

Synchronicities,

And events to support me on my journey.

I am now receiving all that I desire from my highest perspective.

I allow.

I allow.

I allow.

Now as I am,

I allow.

And so it is.

Notice how the butterflies now are swirling in the air around you.

They gently begin to land next to you.

Feel how your energy has magnetized them to you.

See how they observe you with loving curiosity as they gather closer.

There is no tension.

There is no anxiety.

You are calm,

Open,

And relaxed.

Keep breathing.

This is what it feels like when you are in receiving mode.

Balanced,

Calm,

Open,

And free.

As you continue to breathe,

Repeat after me.

I instruct my mind,

My body,

My emotions,

And my energy to memorize and integrate the mode of receiving.

Whenever I notice that I am in grasping mode,

I ask for a gentle reminder so that I can simply return to receiving mode.

And so it is.

These magical butterflies represent whatever it is that you wish to manifest.

They are here to remind you that when you are connected to your inner spark,

When you are centered and open,

Whatever it is that your desire begins to move towards you like a butterfly,

It gently and effortlessly lands in your reality just like the butterfly to a flower.

This field is here for you anytime that you would like to return.

And these butterflies are your teachers.

So whenever you find yourself anxious,

Stressed,

Or uncertain of how things are going to happen,

Please stop,

Take a breath,

Close your eyes,

And remember the butterflies.

Keep breathing.

For now,

It's time to leave the meadow.

And come back to your body.

As you stand up,

You say thank you to the butterflies.

Thank you to the flowers.

Thank you to the breeze and the grass and the trees and the sun.

And as you slowly begin to leave the meadow,

You know that this place is always here for you.

And the butterflies are always available whenever you need a reminder of how to return to receiving mode.

Slowly bring your awareness back to your breath,

Back to the room,

Back to your body,

And back to the present moment.

You are fully present,

Fully anchored back into your body.

Before you're ready,

You can open your eyes.

You will start to notice the reward you've brought back.
