So taking a few seconds to sit down,

Make yourself comfortable,

Feet on the floor,

Hands on your lap,

Taking a slightly deeper breath in and out,

And closing your eyes,

Allowing them to rest and relax,

Allowing the eyes to soften and release,

And connect with your breath.

At times of uncertainty,

When we're feeling scattered,

Or anxious,

Or stressed,

We often turn to one of the most common tranquilizers there are,

Fast foods,

Quick foods,

And healthy foods.

Today's exercise is about becoming mindful of what we're eating,

And gently shifting to more natural,

Nutritious,

Colourful,

Energy-filled foods.

The foods that not only are good for you,

But also the foods that you enjoy eating.

The foods that take a little bit of preparation.

So many of us,

Feeling rushed and scattered,

Don't believe we have time to prepare healthy,

Nutritious,

Wonderfully tasty foods.

But this preparation of foods that give you energy and health can also be a mindful practice.

By connecting with the breath,

And grounding,

And centering,

Taking some time to immerse yourself in eating for energy and health,

Can be beautifully mindful.

So taking some time now,

To make an inner decision to shift to more nutritious,

Energy-filled,

Colourful foods.

You now take a gentle stretch,

A slightly deeper in and out breath,

And open your eyes,

Returning to the day.

Thank you, Andrew. I eat a lot of sugary foods, & its not good. I gotta eat healthier, but it's hard to switch over. -NamastΓ© Andrew. βœ¨οΈπŸ™πŸ»πŸ˜‡πŸ™πŸ»βœ¨οΈ

Thank you for the reminder Andrew. I never actually thought of food prep as mindfulness before. I shall try to focus more on the process in future.

I cannot wait to spend time in my kitchen cutting up fruit and prepping healthy snacks for my boys and myself. Thank you for the encouragement!
