Morning Postcards 3

This morning's postcard speaks of goodness, of kindness. Often we are too busy with life that we fail to stop, to look up and see the goodness, the kindness that exists in our lives. More importantly, are we doing good? Being kind? This talks of letting the heart lead and lead us to look for the good and then be good.

Good morning.

What a beautiful day today is going to be.

And I wanted to drop you a little postcard this morning before I got on my way.

I was thinking,

What do you think about shaking things up a bit today?

Hmm?

Yeah?

Great.

So how about letting your guard down and permitting your heart to lead you today?

You know,

We're so busy with life,

Heads down,

Nose to the ground,

That we rarely take the time to look up.

To look up and see the goodness that surrounds us each and every day.

So today,

I want you to look up.

Look up and notice the love and kindness that exists in this world,

In your world,

And let it be your guide.

Allow the goodness that you observe in others to be a guide that leads you to do good and to perform acts of kindness.

I would love for you to be the kindness that you're searching for in others,

Because you know what?

It can't help but change you,

As well as those you serve.

Now these acts of kindness,

They don't have to be anything epic.

Nothing over the top.

They can be simple things.

Things like smiling at a stranger,

Holding the door open for someone,

Sincerely complimenting another,

Or giving a helping hand where needed.

And you know what?

I can guarantee you that although these acts of kindness you give may be small,

They'll have a huge impact on the lives of those who receive them.

And in giving kindness,

Often it multiplies upon itself.

It can't help but infuse others with the desire to be kind and to do good.

So what do you think?

Make us better,

Make us more.

That light that dwells within you,
