Hello and welcome to this Sacred Site of You meditation where you are the destination and your best life is the journey.
My name is Amy Patti and today's meditation we are going to focus on the throat chakra.
So come into a comfortable seat and if you'd like go ahead and close your eyes.
Take a nice deep breath breathing in and relax your jaw and just sigh out gently as you exhale.
Let's just do that a couple more times.
So you're going to breathe in nice and deeply and relaxing your jaw sigh out as you exhale.
Do that once more on your own and then begin to spread your awareness out to your entire body.
Feeling the shape of your body and the skin of your body.
So the outer shell of your body and just feel yourself landing fully inside yourself today.
Touch down into the foundation of your body.
So if you're sitting on the floor or if you're sitting on a chair just feel the parts of your body that are in contact with whatever is beneath you and take a nice full breath here feeling into your foundation and as you breathe out let your muscles release a little.
Let your body become just a bit heavier and feel yourself grounding connecting to the earth.
I call this shift coming out of thinking mode coming out of your head out of your mind and coming into feeling mode into your body into the present moment.
Begin to smooth your breath out just allowing your inhales and exhales to really take their time breathing in a spacious way and letting the breath fill out your entire body as you inhale.
Feeling the entire body releasing a little bit of stress each time you exhale.
Now bringing your attention specifically up into your neck into your throat and just notice this area of your body today.
And as your awareness penetrates through this area of your body allow any holding that's ready to let go begin to release.
This is the home of the throat chakra and this is the chakra that allows us to speak our truth.
And many of us have blockages through this area.
Our necks might be really tight.
You might feel chronic tension or holding in the jaw and so let's release a little bit of that tension continuing to breathe and sense into this area as you just allow your head to really slowly really gently rock slightly forward and slightly back.
Just like you're nodding your head yes.
Staying really present with your throat chakra which radiates through this part of your body and infuses it with life force energy.
Noticing what you feel as you just gently rock your head forward and back and then allow your head to come back upright to neutral and start to rock your head slowly side to side.
Just a really small movement here rocking the right ear towards the right shoulder slightly left ear towards the left shoulder slightly.
Let this movement be really relaxed and small.
Staying mindful of your neck your throat and the energy expressing through this part of your body.
These subtle movements help generate a little bit of expression through this energy center helping to motivate the energy to begin to move in a healthy way.
Freeze up any blockages that might be stuck here and let your head come back to neutral to center and one last gentle little movement here you're going to nod your head no very small movement micro movement stay really present it's like a moving meditation.
Keep your jaw relaxed feel your tongue releasing down away from the roof of your mouth shoulders relaxed away from the ears.
Beautiful let your head come back to neutral and begin to direct your breath right into the center of your neck.
As you breathe in you might even feel a sense of expansion through this area like your whole neck expands out a little bit and as you exhale a softening back in.
We're going to bring a little sound into our meditation to vibrate the throat chakra to energize it to tonify the thyroid gland which exists right here at the front of the throat and all the other tissues stimulating them with energy.
We're going to do a simple humming sound and we'll do three rounds of this.
You can hum at any pitch as loudly as you'd like or as quietly as you'd like.
So let's begin breathe all the air out and then breathing in exhaling to hum hum hum two more rounds at your own pace breathing in hum After you've completed your third round bring your awareness back to even steady breathing letting the breath be slow and deep and feeling the breath again moving through the throat through the neck through this energetic center your fifth chakra the throat chakra and say to yourself silently or or out loud I align with my truth I listen to my inner truth I commit to speaking my truth take a nice deep breath in full breath out now begin to navigate your awareness all the way back down to the foundation of your body feel into your legs your feet your pelvis grounding once again your energy into the here and now into the body here on earth and feel the shape of your entire body bringing your awareness back to your wholeness and take one more nice deep breath in sigh it out exhale gather your palms to touch the front of your chest a little drop of your chin honoring your practice today honoring your truth allow it to speak to you as you move throughout the rest of your day thank you so much for joining me for this meditation to tap into your throat chakra and activate the energy there namaste
