Good morning and welcome to day 5 of our 7-day morning meditation journey to help you start your day from a place of positive self-connection,
Inner peacefulness,
And personal power.
Please take a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
Close your eyes and get cozy for today's practice.
And as you begin to settle in,
Take a moment to greet yourself.
You could even say silently or out loud,
Good morning self,
Good morning body.
Greet yourself with acceptance,
With compassion,
And with love.
And from this place of connection with yourself,
Begin to attune to your breath.
As you breathe in,
Let yourself receive the oxygen and the energy that your breath is delivering.
And as you breathe out,
Let go of any tension or negativity that you came to this practice with today.
Today you'll be making a connection to your heart,
Which can serve as a gateway to your essence,
Or your truest self,
As well as your intuition and your deepest desires.
So to start,
Bring a hand to rest right over your heart center.
And begin to feel the rise and fall of your chest with each breath.
Tuning into the rhythm of your heart beating beneath your fingertips.
And then silently invite your heart to open.
Invite your heart to share with you any messages it may have for you.
Invite your heart to reveal to you any desires it has for your life.
Additionally,
If you have a question for your heart,
You can ask your question now.
And then take a deep breath in,
And a complete breath out.
Release your hand from your chest if you'd like,
But continue to focus upon your heart.
And keep feeling the breath flowing in and out of your chest.
And begin to listen deeply to yourself.
The heart's messages often are delivered to us like gentle whispers.
Sometimes they are so quiet we can barely hear them.
But the more we consciously tune into our heart and listen attentively,
The louder the messages will become.
Sometimes it speaks to us through images,
Sensations,
Feelings,
Or even words that echo through our mind.
So let yourself breathe.
Let yourself feel your heart.
And listen attentively like you would to a best friend sharing a secret with you quietly.
In a way,
Listening to our heart is like listening to silence.
But through the silence,
Through the stillness,
We are able to receive the heart's messages.
And if your mind wanders,
Simply come back to the flow of your breath.
And you can always bring your hand to rest back over your heart as well,
Allowing its warmth to keep you present in the moment.
Whatever sacred messages you received from your heart,
Know that they come directly from your essence,
From your true self.
And know that if you didn't receive any messages in this moment,
That's okay too.
Opening up a line of communication with your heart can take time.
But the more you practice,
The easier it will become.
You may also find that your heart surprises you at a later time,
Sending nuggets of insight and wisdom to you when you least expect it.
Now let's take a few deep breaths.
Inhaling love.
Exhaling gratitude for this time with your own heart today.
And when you feel ready,
You can begin to stretch your body.
Letting your eyes blink open and closed.
Letting your awareness shift back to your external environment.
May you carry this heart connection with you and use it as your own personal GPS,
Letting it guide you throughout the rest of your day.
