Good morning and welcome to day one of our seven-day morning meditation journey.
This journey was designed to help you start your day from a place of positive self-connection,
Inner peacefulness,
And personal power.
So please come into a comfortable seated position.
Close your eyes if you'd like.
And begin to turn your attention to your breath,
Inviting it to slow down and deepen,
Beginning to settle in for today's practice,
Which is all about simply connecting to yourself.
It's normal for us humans to look outside of ourselves to feel better and to find answers to the questions we have.
But through deep connection with ourselves,
We can realize that true happiness lies within.
And all of the answers we seek can be found inside of us.
So bring your awareness to your breath again,
And just begin to notice where you can feel your breath moving through your body.
As you do,
Intentionally connect with your body.
We spend so much time up in our head,
So as you connect with your body,
You are starting to shift out of thinking mode into feeling mode.
So how is your body doing today?
What physical sensations do you notice?
And are any parts of you asking for attention or asking for care?
As you cultivate this connection with your body,
Invite in the energy of acceptance,
Compassion,
And love for yourself.
Let your body take up as much space as it needs.
And know that all parts,
All sensations are welcome here.
Your body gets to fully arrive just as it is.
Now begin to shift your awareness to your emotions.
Are you feeling calm today?
Perhaps a little anxious?
Or maybe you're feeling just a touch of sadness today.
As you touch in to any emotions present inside of you,
Notice if they reside in a certain area of your body.
And whatever emotions you do discover,
Can you embrace them with acceptance,
Giving yourself full permission to feel exactly what you are feeling in this moment.
Now,
From your emotions,
Bring your awareness to your mind and your thoughts.
Is your mind busy?
Are your thoughts positive or negative this morning?
Whatever you discover,
Know that you are not your thoughts.
In reality,
You are simply the witness to them.
And just like with your body and emotions,
See if you can accept your current state of mind just as it is in this moment.
Now amidst the thoughts and the emotions and the sensations,
There is a still point within you,
A deep sense of presence.
Invite your awareness to drop into this space.
This is where you can tap into your essence,
Your true self.
Breathe into this inner space and fully register this connection with your deepest self.
This is where you can tap into true happiness,
Empowerment,
And inner calm and peace.
And when you feel ready,
Let your breath begin to deepen and give a little wiggle to your toes and fingers,
Without losing connection to your essence,
To this deep inner space that you discovered.
Begin to draw your attention back out to the external world.
I invite you to carry this sense of inward alignment with you throughout your day,
Remembering that you are worthy of this connection with yourself.
You are worthy of love,
And you are worthy of simply being.
