
Heart Soothing And Healing Meditation

Center your awareness within your own heart to soothe, heal, and ground yourself. During this meditation, you'll use intentional breathing to activate your full lung capacity, soothe and heal your heart, and ground your entire being in a relationship with Mother Earth. A perfect meditation to do to support emotional integration and heart-opening.
Transcript
Welcome to this heart centering,
Heart soothing,
And heart healing meditation.
Please come into any position that feels extra nourishing to you today.
So sitting on a chair,
Sitting on the floor,
Lying down if that feels best,
And once you have arrived here in the perfect position for you today,
Feel free to close your eyes and we'll transition into this meditation with three complete breaths.
Just yourself breathe in nice and fully through your nose and maybe sighing out gently through an open mouth.
Doing that twice more,
Just breathing in,
Feeling that breath moving into your body,
And as you breathe out,
Nice soft release here,
You're feeling the body beginning to relax a bit.
And one more like that,
Just inhaling,
Filling up,
Exhaling,
Slowly letting go,
Releasing through the entire body.
And then just invite your breath to smooth out,
Invite your breath to become a little bit more rhythmic and balanced.
Allow the breath to bring into the body a quality of tenderness,
Softness.
Let the breath soothe your body.
And then noticing your body specifically here,
And you could even say hello to your body.
Maybe greeting your body for the first time today.
And just noticing if there's held tension in the jaw,
Maybe the shoulders.
As you breathe in to your entire body,
Allow your entire body to exhale and release into whatever is beneath it,
Becoming a little bit heavier,
A little bit more relaxed physically here.
And then hone back in on your breath,
And we are going to begin to work our way to our deep heart via the lungs.
So we're going to be exploring the breath through the different parts of our lungs as we gently make our way to our heart center,
Allowing for healing and integration today,
Bringing soothing energy into our heart space and into our entire body.
So as you're breathing,
Shift your attention into your upper back,
Into the back of your rib cage,
And into the back of your lungs.
And just begin to feel the breath here.
The back lobes of your lungs span from the very bottom of your rib cage all the way up to the top.
So as you breathe in,
Just noticing if you can sense the breath really filling out this entire space of your back,
Lungs,
Lobes of your lungs,
The back rib cage.
Keeping the breath smooth and even.
And as you breathe into your back lungs,
You may notice different emotions arising or different sensations emerging.
See if you can hold space for whatever comes to the surface by maintaining your breath,
The consistency of the breath,
The pace,
The steadiness of the breath.
Let's take one more breath into your back lungs.
And then shifting to the side lungs,
The sides of your rib cage.
And if it's hard to feel into this area,
You can even cross your arms in front of your body and just rest your palms over the sides of your rib cage and then breathe into where your hands are touching.
Focusing the breath there and just feeling the breath expanding through this area as you inhale.
As you exhale,
Allow any tension or allow any repressed emotions or stuck emotions to simply release.
Our lungs in a way act as guardians to our heart and they can hold a lot of tension and also a lot of old emotions and they do so as a way of protecting the sacred space of our heart.
So we're just starting to pull back some of those layers of protection so that we can feel a bit more free inside of ourselves and open up the doorways to our deepest heart.
Let's take three more breaths into these side lungs.
As you breathe in,
You might almost feel like the sides of your rib cage expand out towards your arms,
Almost like wings wanting to stretch outward.
Then let go of that focused breathing and just come back to your natural breath and take an inhale and an exhale.
Then shifting your attention now to the front lungs,
The front of your chest,
The front of your rib cage.
As you breathe in and out,
Just feel any movement through this area.
Filling out the space from the bottom of your front ribs all the way up to your collarbones.
And noticing as you're breathing into this part of your lungs,
What sensations emerge from your body.
And any emotions that arise to be processed,
Felt,
Or to just simply move through you and release.
Beautiful.
Just take one or two more breaths into these front lungs.
And then let that focused breathing go and again just take a natural easy breath in to your whole body and out of your whole body.
And now we're ready to center ourselves within our heart.
So bring your attention to the center of your chest and again you're always welcome to rest your hands over your heart center if that supports you with your awareness.
And we're just going to begin to breathe in to our heart and you could actually imagine the breath entering maybe through the front of your chest and you just breathe into that space of your heart.
And then as you exhale letting the heart exhale,
Maybe feeling a warmth in your chest or spreading out of energy or even just a relaxation through this area.
And again as you breathe in and out of your heart space,
Remain present to any emotions that arise or any interesting physical sensations that present themselves to you.
Letting the breath remain consistent and calm and soothing in the face of anything that appears any uncomfortable feelings or sensations that arise.
We're allowing the circuitry of your heart to reset right now.
Again when we hold old emotions or experience something traumatic sometimes the circuitry of our heart kind of misses a beat and we need to take time to unravel that and reset it so that we can once again access our heart's authentic beautiful energy.
Let's take three more breaths here soothing,
Healing,
Centering breaths for the heart.
Just breathing in to that space within your chest.
Breathing out inviting warmth,
Relaxation,
And release.
Beautiful and then let that go and again just breathe into your whole body.
Breathe out of your whole body.
Notice how you feel.
Then shifting your attention now all the way down to the foundation of your body.
So parts of your body that are in contact with the floor beneath you and then go deeper down beneath the floor.
Touch down into the earth and I want you to journey all the way to the heart of Mother Earth.
You may wonder where is the heart of Mother Earth?
You intuitively know.
Your higher self knows exactly where that is and so just go there with your awareness,
With your intention.
See if you can feel the heart beat of Mother Earth and allow your heart,
Your being,
To align with the beating of her heart.
Let yourself feel bonded to Mother Earth.
Synchronizing your heart with her heart.
So essentially grounding the energy of your heart.
Your heart now has roots and there is nourishment here for you on the earth to absorb and receive especially when you feel off-center or disconnected to your own heart's energy.
You can remember these roots and plug into Mother Earth and receive her healing energy,
Her grounding energy,
Her soothing energy.
So drink that in with three more breaths.
Saying thank you to Mother Earth and bringing your attention back to your own body.
Feeling your entire body breathing in,
Feeling your entire body exhale.
Your heart has been reset,
Soothed,
Healed,
Centered,
And grounded.
Bring your palms to press at the front of your chest to seal in the goodness of this practice today.
May you remain deeply connected to your heart's truth.
May you live from your heart's perspective and may you receive all of the wisdom it has to offer you.
