Before we begin,
I would like for you to think of something that you are stuck on.
This could be something that you are unable to communicate to yourself or to others.
This may be a feeling in your daily life.
Just for a moment,
Find the space you are stuck in.
Take a deep breath in and let it go.
Now let's find a comfortable position.
Either laying on your back or seated,
Listen to whatever your body needs at this exact moment.
Let go of any expectations you may have had for this meditation.
Close your eyes and begin to bring attention to your breath.
Notice the rise and fall of your chest,
The natural rhythm of your breathing.
Notice the feel of your breath as it enters your nose.
Become aware of the temperature of your breath as it leaves your body.
Begin to send your breath and attention to your entire body.
First,
Send your breath to your toes.
Then to your feet,
To your shins,
To your knees,
To your thighs,
To your hips.
Bring your breath and attention to your belly,
To your chest,
Your shoulders,
Your neck,
Your chin,
Your ears,
To your mouth,
To your nose,
To your eyes,
To the center of your forehead.
And finally,
Send your breath and attention to the crown of your head.
Take a deep breath in,
Expanding your belly.
Exhale.
Take another breath in.
Exhale.
Continue breathing naturally.
Now begin to bring your attention to the root of your being,
The base of your spine.
The root chakra,
Or the Mooladhara chakra,
Is the first chakra.
The root chakra provides the foundation upon which we build our life.
Mooladhara chakra supports us in growing and feeling safe into exploring all the aspects of life.
This chakra is related to our feeling of security in many aspects,
Including our own physical security,
Our emotional safety,
And our financial stability.
The root chakra is where we ground ourselves into the earth and anchor our energy into the manifest world.
Now imagine a ruby gemstone at the base of your spine.
This ruby is a glowing,
Gorgeous red.
The ruby slowly begins to rotate.
Try to notice how it looks.
As your attention focuses on this stunning,
Bright ruby,
Begin to breathe into your root chakra.
With each breath,
The ruby grows in size.
And on each exhale,
The ruby begins to spread light throughout your body.
Let this red light fill you as it spreads all the way down to your toes.
Feel it empower you as it connects you to the earth's energy.
The red light travels from your toes up your legs and envelops them in a grounding energy.
The light continues up your core,
Expanding onto your chest and shoulders,
And finally reaches your head.
Your entire body is cradled by this beautiful red glow.
As you imagine the red light,
Repeat what I say after I say it.
I am strong.
I am safe.
I am connected to the earth.
I am grounded and centered.
I belong.
I trust in and love life.
I have everything I need to live a full life.
I feel secure financially.
I feel supported by the universe and by those around me.
I experience abundance.
Begin to bring your attention back to the red ruby at your root chakra.
As it getting smaller,
Bringing it down to around the size of a fairy light,
Bringing it back to normal function.
Briefly bring attention to what you thought of at the beginning of this meditation,
What you felt stuck in.
Focus on it for one moment.
Then I'll let it go.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Now repeat to yourself,
My root chakra is open.
I now have a balanced approach to meeting all my earthly needs.
They are all taken care of.
Bring your awareness back to your breath.
Allow yourself to feel the in,
The out,
The rhythm,
The rise,
The fall of your breath.
Bring your awareness to the flow of your breath.
Notice how cool your breath is as it comes in through your nose,
Down the back of your throat and into your lungs.
Notice the natural movement of your tummy as you breathe in and out.
Become aware of your full body again as it rests against the floor.
Begin to bring attention to your toes.
Wiggle your fingers.
Lift your shoulders for a shrug.
Let yourself slowly become aware of the room again.
All of the sounds close by,
Let them in.
When you feel ready to,
Open your eyes.
