Today, we are going to practice a Visshuda Throat Chakra Meditation. The throat chakra is the fifth chakra and it governs our ability to express ourselves and communicate. The throat chakra is located at the center of the passage of the energy between the lower parts of the body and the head. The energy of this chakra allows you to seek knowledge that is true, beyond limitations of time and space, beyond cultural and family conditioning. Ask and ye shall receive.

Before we begin,

Find a quiet place to practice.

Make sure your phone is turned off and anything that can disturb you is shut off.

Close your door to the world right now.

You may sit in a chair with your feet flat on the floor or on a cushion,

Wherever you may be most comfortable.

You may lay on the ground or on your bed with your palms facing to the sky.

Whatever your body is asking of you at this moment.

As you meditate,

Be aware that thoughts will come and go.

This is 100% okay.

Welcome the thoughts.

Meditation shouldn't be hard or overthought.

Don't try too hard.

Just bring your kind,

Non-judgmental attention back to the sound of my voice whenever you find your thoughts have taken you elsewhere.

Let go of any and all expectations you've put on yourself.

Let yourself settle into this practice,

Taking all the benefits of the calm and silence.

Close your eyes or cap them halfway with a soft,

Unfocused gaze.

Begin to bring awareness to your breath.

Notice the rise and fall of your chest,

The natural rhythm of your breathing.

Take a deep breath in,

Pushing your belly to the sky.

Exhale,

Pulling your belly button in towards your spine.

Take a deep breath in,

Pushing your belly out.

Exhale,

Pulling your belly button to your spine.

Today we are going to practice the Vishuddha throat chakra meditation.

The throat chakra is the fifth chakra and it governs our ability to express ourselves and communicate.

The throat chakra is located at the center of the passage of energy between the lower parts of your body and the crown of your head.

The energy of the fifth chakra allows you to seek knowledge that is true beyond limitations of time and space,

Beyond cultural and family conditioning.

The fifth chakra mantra,

Ask and ye shall receive.

The main challenge for the fifth chakra is doubt and negative thinking.

When we practice this throat chakra meditation,

We are unblocking our fifth chakra to remove all of our doubts,

All of the negativity.

Begin to notice any sounds outside of the room.

Acknowledge them and let them go.

Notice any sounds inside of the room.

Acknowledge them and let them go.

Ask your body to relax.

Let your feet and legs soften into whatever position is most comfortable.

Wrap your shoulders.

Let your jaw slightly open.

Unclench your teeth if they're clenched.

Relax your hands.

Allow your whole body to soften.

Bring awareness to your head.

Bring awareness to your face.

Bring awareness to your scalp.

Bring your awareness to your hair.

Bring your awareness to your ears.

Bring your awareness to your jaw.

Bring your awareness to your chin.

Bring your awareness to your cheeks.

Bring your awareness to your nose.

Bring your awareness to your eyes.

Bring your awareness to your forehead.

Take a deep breath in,

Pushing your belly out.

Exhale,

Pulling your belly button to your spine.

Take another deep breath in,

Pushing your belly out.

Exhale,

Pulling your belly button to your spine.

Let your breathing return to a natural rhythm.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

No need to control the breath.

If thoughts intrude,

Allow them to flow past.

Bring your attention back to your breath.

I'd like for you to imagine you're sitting on a white,

Sandy beach.

You can feel the grains of sand on the backs of your legs.

You can feel the warmth of the sun shining on to your face.

Take a deep breath in.

Let the smell of salt water enter your nose.

Exhale your breath out.

You can hear the ocean call to you with its powerful waves.

You look out to the sea and find a beautiful turquoise water.

Focus on the color of the water.

It's the clearest turquoise you've ever seen.

Your eyes can't look away from its beauty.

The color calls you towards it.

You slowly rise and begin to walk towards the water's edge.

You sit down in the wet sand and the turquoise waves begin to gently roll over your feet and legs.

The bright water begins to emit a gorgeous turquoise light.

This light begins to expand over your entire body.

Take a deep breath in.

Exhale.

As you breathe in,

The light grows,

Begins to cover your entire body from head to toe.

On every exhale,

The light grows brighter.

You are now a glowing,

Beautiful turquoise being sitting calmly on the ocean's edge.

Bring your awareness to your throat area.

Focus the beautiful turquoise blue light on your throat.

Coat the throat with this blissful light,

Both inside the throat and outside.

Illuminate your voice box,

Your thyroid,

Your neck,

All turquoise bright light.

Send this blue light to your mouth,

Coating your teeth,

Your tongue,

Your lips.

This turquoise light expands to your ears,

Awakening your ability to listen.

As this light moves over all of the areas connected to your throat chakra,

It heals.

Blue filaments of light glide over and all around your throat,

Strengthening your voice.

Take a deep breath in,

Pushing your belly out,

Watching the light expand,

And exhale,

Watching the light get brighter.

Now repeat after me.

I speak my truth.

I have a voice.

I am understood.

I am a good listener.

The blue light still surrounding all of you,

Your voice and all the areas in the throat chakra absorb this light as it slowly begins to retreat from your body and back to the sea.

You are moving back to the present.

Away from the sea.

Away from the sand.

The beautiful turquoise light has all but disappeared.

Allow the outside noise to enter your soul.

Move your toes.

Tap your fingers.

Bring your hand to your throat.

Take a deep breath in,

Pushing your belly out,

Exhaling to your spine.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes with a soft downward gaze.

You may now return to your day.
