Hello.

Thank you for joining me for this morning meditation.

Today we are going to spend some time with ourselves,

Finding stillness.

Find a comfortable seat.

You can be lying down or sitting,

Whatever your body is asking of you at this very moment.

Begin to just sink into your seats.

Let your body relax more and more.

Begin to notice your breath.

No need to change anything about your breath.

Just notice the feeling of your inhale.

Notice the temperature of your breath as you exhale.

Notice your belly moving out as you inhale and your belly button moving to your spine as you exhale.

Just begin to soften your body.

Soften your neck.

Release your jaw and let your eyes heavy if they haven't already.

Let your forehead rest.

Let go of any tension or tightness that you may have gotten while you slept.

Just take a moment for yourself before your day begins.

Find stillness and peace and harmony in these moments.

The rest of your body follows in relaxation.

Your shoulders,

Your arms,

Your chest.

Your hands soften each finger one by one.

Your body continues to soften.

Your upper legs,

Your knees,

Your shins into your ankles,

All the way down to your feet.

You're still and relaxed into every toe.

Your body is completely at ease.

You're floating and still.

As you begin your day,

Let's focus on kindness and choosing to use our words gently whenever we speak to ourselves and others.

Let's pay attention to our thoughts and guide them in a way that makes us and others feel good.

We do this because it feels better inside,

Creates a positive environment,

And has the ability to spread happiness to others throughout our day.

We feel better and experience more happiness and goodness when we are kind with our words,

Thoughts,

And actions.

Today,

Let's also focus on being helpful to others.

When we help others,

The other person benefits,

Of course,

But we do too.

Helping others demonstrates kindness and action.

Being helpful lets others know they are not alone and it brightens their day.

Think back to a time when someone helped you.

How did that make you feel?

It was a wonderful gift.

You can give that same gift today and every day by being kind and helpful to others with your words and your actions.

Of course,

Not everyone is always so kind and helpful,

And these are actually the people who need it most.

Maybe they've never had an example of kindness or helpfulness,

And by your example,

They can choose to change for the better and be happier and kinder too.

Begin to bring movement back into your body.

Move your fingers,

Move your toes.

Turn your head slowly to the right and slowly to the left.

Take a deep breath in,

Pushing your belly out as big as it will get,

And then exhale all of the air out,

Pulling your belly button to your spine.

Do this one more time.

Big breath in,

Pulling your belly,

Exhaling out the air.

As you begin your day,

Just remember to choose loving kindness,

Choose helping others,

Choose yourself.

Thank you for meditating with me.

Have a wonderful morning.

Love this for days where I need a bit more guidance to quiet the mind. A great message behind it as well
