Hi and welcome to this guided meditation for deep relaxation and healing.
Let's begin by getting into a really comfortable position where you feel supported and cozy.
You can sit or lie down,
Whichever feels best for you.
If it feels good for you,
You can softly close your eyes to shut out the outer world and its distractions.
Or you can choose to keep your eyes open with a soft gaze down in front of you and take a deep breath in,
Exhaling slowly.
Now as you exhale,
Feel your body sinking into relaxation.
As you inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth,
Feel your body settling in.
Now imagine yourself standing at the entrance of a beautiful garden.
This is a magical place of tranquility and healing.
Picture the entrance gate.
It is made of ornate wrought iron.
It is adorned with intricate patterns of vines and flowers.
As you pass through the gates,
You notice the sweet scent of blooming flowers in the air,
Like on a perfect spring day.
The path ahead of you is covered with soft mossy stones and you walk along it,
Feeling the gentle caress of a light breeze on your skin.
The sun is shining warmly and the sky is a clear brilliant blue.
You continue to walk along this path and become aware of the lush greenery surrounding you.
Towering trees with leaves of every shade of green create a beautiful canopy overhead,
Casting dappled shadows on the ground.
You come across a crystal clear stream that glistens in the sun.
The sound of its gentle flowing water is soothing your ears.
You bend down and dip your fingers into the stream.
As you touch the water,
You feel a wave of calmness wash over you.
Now find a comfortable spot to sit in this magical garden.
It could be a stone bench,
A soft patch of grass or a comfortable cushion placed underneath a tree.
As you sit down,
Become aware of the symphony of nature around you.
Birds are singing and the leaves rustle in the gentle breeze.
The scent of flowers is so strong,
Filling your senses with peace and tranquility.
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,
Release anything like tension or stress or worries that you may be carrying.
Inhaling deeply,
Exhaling anything that no longer serves you.
Allow this negativity to float away like leaves on a stream,
Disappearing into the distance.
As you sit here in the garden,
Observing the natural flow of your breath,
Imagine that you can really feel the healing energy of this magical place flowing into your body.
Visualize a warm golden light above the top of your head.
Now slowly picture this light entering you from the crown of your head,
Flowing down through your head and your neck.
It is a warm golden light,
Filling you with a sense of deep peace and relaxation.
See this light flowing down your shoulders,
Relaxing the shoulder blades.
See it going down your arms,
Into your hands and down into each finger.
Now as this healing energy flows through you,
Imagine it addressing any physical or emotional pain that you may be experiencing.
This healing energy feels like a gentle,
Soothing balm,
Easing away any discomfort or tension.
Now shift your awareness to your heart center.
Visualize the area behind your ribcage,
The space where your heart resides.
Imagine a beautiful,
Radiant flower blooming within your heart.
This flower represents your inner strength,
Resilience and your capacity for love with each breath.
Imagine this flower opening up a little more,
Radiating its vibrant,
Beautiful colors.
Feel the love and compassion within you expand and expand,
Growing larger with each breath.
Feel this love and compassion,
Not only for yourself,
But for all living beings.
Your friends,
Your families,
People in your neighborhood,
People in your city,
People in the country,
People all over the world.
Now take a moment to offer gratitude for this garden and the healing energy it has shared with you.
Now slowly start to return your awareness to your physical surroundings,
Becoming aware of the room that you are in.
Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes and when you are ready,
Open your eyes if they were closed.
Bringing the tranquility and healing energy of the garden back with you in this present moment.
Now remember that you can return to this magical garden in your mind whenever you need healing or relaxation or a moment of inner peace.
It is always here for you.
