Hello and welcome to today's centering and grounding somatic meditation.
Somatic means in your body.
This meditation will gently guide you out of the mind and back into your body,
Your home.
Begin by finding a comfortable seated position,
Sitting with your spine straight and strong.
Begin with your eyes open and begin noticing the colors that you see,
The smells that you're aware of.
What is the state of energy around you?
What is catching your attention as you look through the room?
Take a moment here and recognize the signs of safety for you.
And let's close our eyes.
Bring in your awareness from your outer world to your inner world,
Noticing the energy on each side of you,
Noticing the energy in front and behind you,
And noticing the energy above and below you.
Bring in your awareness inward.
Notice your state of being.
How is your outer experience influencing your inner experience?
What sensations are you noticing?
What is alive within you right now?
Bring in your awareness to the length of your spine.
Breathing into your spine from the bottom of your spine to the top of your head,
Creating expansiveness in your body from the top to the bottom,
Lengthening your posture and trying to reach the sky as you feel your feet touching the ground.
Begin to breathe into the width of your body,
Breathing in and filling up the body from side to side,
And allow yourself to relax with each exhale.
With each breath,
Creating spaciousness in the width of your body,
And with each breath,
You are creating a larger capacity for connection.
Now breathe into the depth of your body.
Begin to fill up from the front to the back,
Creating a space from the front of your body to the back of your body.
Begin to sense expansiveness from your navel to your spine,
From your chest to your back,
And with this breath,
Begin to sense wisdom.
Wisdom in front of you and wisdom behind you.
Imagine your energy moving out behind you and connecting to those who came before you,
To those who have paved the path,
And imagine your energy moving forward,
Leading you to who you are about to become,
Leading you to your higher self.
And take a deep breath in.
