Hello and welcome to today's practice.
Begin by finding a comfortable position either lying down or sitting up.
Arrive here in this moment and in your body connecting with your breath.
As you enter into your day-to-day,
Notice the thought patterns you come in with.
Often we enter into situations such as work,
Relationships,
Or chores with a negative mindset.
Setting the tone for a negative experience.
Release and let go of any and all expectations you may have for the day.
Making room for gratitude,
Compassion,
And positivity.
Take a deep breath in and sigh it all out.
In order to protect your energy,
It is important to first become aware of how your energy feels.
Take a moment and scan your body,
Noticing the temperature and textures of your energy.
Take a few deep breaths in,
Inhaling positivity and exhaling negativity.
Bring your awareness to the crown of your head,
The crown chakra.
Visualize a bright yellow light full of the energy you have cultivated shining down from this space.
A bright yellow light surrounding you as you sit or lay here in your space.
Allow this light to build a protective shield around your body.
This is a shield not to keep others out,
But to serve as a reminder that you are in control of what energy you let in and the boundaries that you set.
You are in control of your power.
Visualize this light becoming very close to your body,
Surrounding you like another layer of skin.
Today,
What energy do you invite in?
What energy makes you feel nourished,
Uplifted,
And empowered?
Today,
What energy will you fend off?
Maybe that's shame,
Guilt,
Limiting beliefs,
And negative thought patterns.
Give yourself permission today to be in control.
Notice when energy enters into your space that makes you feel anything other than love for yourself.
Keep this shield not as a defense against anyone,
But as a part of you.
A boundary that shows people how they can properly and respectfully interact with you.
As a reminder to not only be in control of your personal power,
But to remind yourself of your thought patterns that you are prone to.
As a reminder when life makes you spiral into self-doubt or negative beliefs,
You are a living force.
Every morning when you wake up,
Be grateful for the power within you and protect all the beautiful gifts you have been given.

Secure this shield in your physical body and as you move through your day,
Let it do its work to protect your energy and remind you of the force within.
