Welcome to this power nap.

Make your body really comfortable now.

Closing your eyes and mentally repeating these words.

For this power nap I hand over all cares and responsibilities and I allow myself just to be here and just to breathe and I trust that my body will awaken in ten minutes feeling refreshed and alert.

Let's start with a few slow and deep breaths.

Inhaling right down into your belly and exhaling with a long and soft sigh.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Inhaling low and slow.

Exhaling just letting it all go.

Deep breath in,

Long breath out.

Inhaling,

Belly rises.

Exhaling,

Belly drops.

And now let your breath be natural.

Not controlling it.

Not changing it.

Just quietly noticing as your body breathes all by itself.

Feel the sensation in the inner passageways of your nostrils.

Notice the parts of your body that naturally move as it breathes.

The slightly cooler air entering.

The slightly warmer air leaving.

The momentary pause between each breath.

Just quietly noticing breath coming in,

Breath going out.

When your mind wanders,

Just come back to your breath.

Right now,

It's too much effort even to breathe.

Body breathing all by itself.

I invite you just to be here and do absolutely nothing.

Let your body sleep if it wants or simply rest in the healing balm of just being.

And now taking a few more of those slow and deep breaths.

Breathing really low into your belly.

Like you have all the time in the world and exhaling with a long and soft sigh.

Inhaling low and slow.

Exhaling right to the very end.

Breathing in and breathing out.

It's time to wake up now.

Let your body move and stretch in whatever way it wants to.

Returning to its wide awake state.

Fresh,

Alert and ready to continue with your day.

Thank you for joining me for this power nap.

Amanda, I managed to stay awake through this meditation. A rarity!šŸ˜„ It was perfect for a late afternoon reset, when having a sleep would have been too 'grogifying' (another one for our creative lexicon!) šŸ™ā¤ Naptastic. Great word. We are on a roll!šŸ˜„ I think naptastic would easily apply to all your meditations šŸ™šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļøā¤ Second nap for the afternoon- this was the ideal length. Even a small 'dose' of Amandagenic magic is wonderfully napalicious! šŸ™ā¤
