Hello and welcome to this guided meditation experience into the energy of the new moon.
Allow yourself any movements or shifting that your body needs at this time so that you can feel comfortable and settled into your body.
Take a deep inhalation and exhale out the mouth with a sigh.
And one more inhale through the nose,
Maybe holding it at the top and then exhale it all out the mouth.
Close down your eyes and connect into the sensation of going from lightness to darkness.
When we close our eyes,
We are sending a message to our body that we are ready to go inward and we are ready to rest and restore.
Biochemically when we close our eyes,
We begin our signaled production of melatonin,
The sleep hormone.
So feel this process taking place when you close your eyes,
When you invite in the darkness.
What does it feel like to fall into that rest?
In your mind's eye,
See the moon glowing brightly,
Reflecting the sun's energy into your mind's eye,
And then so slowly and gently begin to watch the moon lose its light waning into the new moon.
And rest in the stillness that comes with that darkness,
Breathing in and breathing out.
Now,
When you close your eyes,
We are sending a message to our body that we are ready to If it feels comfortable for you,
Place one hand on your belly and one hand on your heart.
And breathe in and out,
Connecting into your entire being.
Maybe bringing your breath into your heart space at first.
Then eventually bringing your breath into your belly.
Full,
Deep,
Long inhales and exhales.
Sink into the awareness of your body.
Allowing yourself to feel your points of contact lying on the floor or sitting on the ground.
And with every exhale,
Begin to feel heavier.
Connecting into gravity and connecting into that cosmic force that keeps us here,
That keeps us planted,
Rooted in our seat.
And with that sense of gravity,
Now connect into the gravitational pull of the moon to your being.
And allow the moon to show you how she is connected to you in every moment of your life here on earth.
You might begin to see the ocean waves ebbing and flowing with the pull of the moon.
The new moon invites us into that dark time that we all need to rest,
To let go,
And to be quiet.
Honoring the phases within your own life,
The times of lightness and the times of darkness.
We too feel the ebbs and flows within our own life.
So sit within your own darkness in that rich,
Dark soil of your soul.
And ask that part of yourself deep within,
What do I need right now?
And breathe deeply with that question.
If you can,
Bring your awareness deep within yourself and let that answer come from deep within you.
What do I need right now?
Allow your palms to drop to your thighs.
Give yourself a few moments of deep breathing,
Feeling in the energy that you've cultivated in this new moon time.
The light will always come again,
But can you rest in the darkness of now to bring energy to your present and the potential of all that is to come?
