Wherever you are,

Pause.

You do not have to fix everything right now.

You don't have to figure it all out.

All you have to do is breathe.

So take a deep breath in,

Slow and steady,

And a long full breath out.

Let your shoulders drop even just a little.

Feel your feet on the ground.

Feel the air on your skin.

Feel the beating of your heart.

Proof that you are here,

Alive,

Moving forward even now.

Whisper to yourself,

I am allowed to stop.

I am allowed to breathe.

Notice the swirl of thoughts,

The rush of feelings.

You do not have to untangle them.

You do not have to wrestle them.

Imagine standing beside a fast-moving river.

The current is strong,

Wild even.

But you are not in the river.

You are standing on the shore.

Let the thoughts race past.

Let the emotions rise and fall.

You are the steady ground beneath it all.

Now place a hand over your heart and feel its warmth.

Feel its steady rhythm.

Remind yourself,

Overwhelm is a feeling.

It is not forever.

It will pass.

Breathe in strength.

Breathe out pressure.

Breathe in trust.

Breathe out fear.

Each breath is an anchor.

Each breath is a way home to yourself.

Even in this moment,

This probably messy,

Complicated,

Noisy moment,

You are doing enough.

You are enough.

Stay here as long as you need,

Just breathing,

Resting and trusting.

When you are ready to return to your day,

Carry this stillness with you like a small stone in your pocket.

Solid,

Simple and steady.

You can always come back to your breath.

You can always come back to yourself.

Lots of love.
