Good evening.
Before anything else.
I want you to know there is nothing you need to become in this moment.
Nothing to prove.
Nothing to fix.
Nothing to perform.
You do not need to be calmer than you are right now.
You do not need to be more healed than you are right now.
You do not need to explain your emotions perfectly for them to deserve space.
To for the next little while,
You're simply allowed to just be here.
And maybe that feels unfamiliar.
Maybe your nervous system is used to bracing.
Used to preparing.
Monitoring.
So gently.
Without force,
Just notice that.
Notice how it feels to be someone who has had to carry so much awareness for so long.
And if your mind wanders,
That's okay too.
How did that feel?
Just let yourself continue to arrive,
Feel and notice slowly.
Maybe you've begun to notice your breath.
Not changing it,
Not controlling it,
Just noticing.
Maybe you notice that your body already knows how to breathe.
Your heart already knows how to beat.
There is wisdom happening inside you constantly without you forcing it.
And maybe for just a moment,
You can let that be enough.
Notice where your body is making contact with the surface beneath you.
What feels supported.
What maybe feels tired.
And what feels guarded.
And as you notice these things,
See if you can continue.
Holding awareness of the without judging it.
Without saying,
This feeling is bad.
Or I shouldn't feel this.
Instead,
Maybe just think,
This is here.
This belongs.
Emotions may start to arise and just be with them.
Maybe there's sadness,
Fear.
Longing or numbness.
Rather than pushing any of it away,
Maybe you can simply become curious.
What is this feeling trying to say?
What has it been carrying for you?
What has it needed someone to understand?
You don't need to try to come up with answers.
You don't need to force any insight.
But if something arises,
Allow it.
And if it doesn't,
Allow that too.
Sometimes healing begins the moment we stop arguing with our own experience.
So if there's grief here,
Let it breathe.
If there's anxiety here?
Let it breathe.
If there's exhaustion,
Let it breathe.
You are not failing because you feel deeply.
You are human.
And maybe there is a younger part of you somewhere inside that learned they had to earn softness.
Earn love.
Earn rest.
Maybe they learned to become what other people needed.
Maybe they learn to hide parts of themselves to stay connected.
And if that's true,
I just want you to know something gently.
You do not have to abandon yourself here.
Not in this moment.
You are allowed to listen inward right now.
You are allowed to ask,
What is true for me?
Not what is loudest,
Not what is expected.
Not what earns approval.
But what feels deeply,
Quietly true.
And maybe the answer isn't clear yet.
Maybe it feels cloudy and murky.
And that's okay.
There's no rush.
Growth does not happen through force.
A flower does not bloom because someone yells at it to open faster.
It blooms when the conditions allow.
And that's true for humans too.
Healing happens when enough safety exists for the real self to slowly emerge.
So far now!
Let this moment simply be practice.
Practice for being with yourself instead of against yourself.
Practice noticing instead of fixing.
Allowing instead of controlling.
Maybe underneath all the noise,
There is something steady inside you.
Something untouched,
Wise.
Something that's been trying to guide you all along.
You do not have to become someone else to be worthy of care.
You do not have to heal perfectly to deserve gentleness.
You do not have to earn your humanity.
Just breathe here.
Exactly as you are.
But perhaps as someone a little more connected to themselves than before.
Now we'll carry this energy you've just created with you into sleep.
In a moment,
I'll count backwards from 15.
Each count is a breath.
And we'll create a little more deepening into the bed,
Into relaxation as we count down.
So make any extra adjustments in your body,
The clothes,
The covers.
To prepare ourselves for rest.
15.
Soften the eyes.
14.
Relax your jaw.
13.
Soften the shoulders.
12.
Relax the belly.
11,
Release through the hips.
10.
Release from the thighs down to the toes.
10.
Soften the hairs on the head.
9.
Relax through the fingers.
Take the tongue away from the roof of the mouth.
7.
Invite stillness into the mind.
6.
Sink deeper into the bed.
Five.
Welcome sinking even deeper into the bed.
Four.
Feel your auric field around your entire body.
3.
Feel the mind drift.
Feel the mind drift even further.
One.
You have arrived.
Be still.
Sleep peacefully.
Welcome yourself in this sleep exactly as you are.
