Hi I'm Ali.

The stress antidote,

Wouldn't we all like to find that?

And you've probably heard someone say to you before,

Be grateful.

Easier said than done in the middle of stress and anxiety.

But today we're going to embrace what is the feeling of stress.

We are allowed to acknowledge it.

We want to actually put it under the spotlight and see it for what it is.

It is a pressure within you.

It is a building of pressure in your body physically,

Mentally,

Emotionally and energetically.

So if we know that stress comes from all different facets in our life,

Isn't it best to equip ourselves with things that can help us release it?

In the same way that a pressure cooker will build the pressure and at some stage know that it needs to let the steam out,

We as humans are no different.

But we forget to release.

We forget to take those moments throughout our day to enable us to release the pressure.

Gratitude.

I'm sure you've heard gratitude can be the antidote for feeling low,

Compressed or stressed.

But how do we find gratitude amongst something that is so challenging that it seems mountainous?

We start small.

We allow ourselves to find what is that small aspect of ourselves that we can be grateful for.

Are we grateful for life itself?

Are we grateful to have hands and feet?

Are we grateful for our senses?

Are we grateful to be loved or to love?

It doesn't have to be much but in those moments when you feel so compressed,

So overwhelmed,

Breathe and find one small thing to be grateful for.

And what you will find is that a tiny droplet of gratitude begins the melting of the overwhelm and stress.
