Welcome to this short breathing practice to support you with protecting and clearing your energy.
This is a great practice if you're feeling like you've been around a draining environment or some emotionally intense people,
Especially if you're more sensitive or an empath.
So go ahead and find a comfortable seated position or lay right down onto your back.
As a more sensitive person,
A short breath work practice can work wonders in helping clear any stagnant energy,
And this practice can help increase your oxygen flow,
Detoxify your system,
And even create an energetic shield around you.
Once you're in a comfortable,
Still position,
You can close your eyes or soften your gaze and just feel your natural breath flowing throughout your body.
There's no effort with the breath just yet.
You're just giving yourself time and space to ground and become present with any sensations,
Any feelings,
Anything you've picked up throughout your day.
This breath is called 5-5-7,
So we'll be inhaling for five seconds,
Holding for five seconds,
And then taking a slow exhale through the mouth for seven seconds.
And as we do this breath together,
Visualize releasing any unwanted energy through each exhale.
Let's just take a deep breath in to start and a big exhale out.
Inhale through the nose for five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Hold the breath for five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhale through the mouth for seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Continue inhale for five.
Hold the breath for five.
Exhale for seven.
Inhale for five.
Hold for five.
Exhale for seven.
Inhale for five.
Hold for five.
Exhale for seven.
Inhale for five.
Hold for five.
Exhale for seven.
Try three more rounds on your own.
After that final round,
Just bring yourself back to your natural,
Organic breath.
Noticing your body taking up space and shifting to become a little more aware,
Once again,
Of how you're feeling.
Observe any subtle shifts that could have happened of simple awareness to your breath.
Without searching for an outcome,
Just be open and present to what shows up.
Know that you can revisit this practice whenever you need a little more protection and clearing throughout your day.
You can blink your eyes open.
Take whatever stretch you need to wake your body up.
