What if you could press pause on your mental chatter,
Reset your mind and step into more clarity and calm?
This powerful NSDR meditation will help you to do just that.
Settle into a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down,
And gently close your eyes.
If you could become just 5% more relaxed,
What would you do?
Go ahead and make those adjustments now.
Imagine a large box in front of you.
Notice its shape,
Size and colour.
Begin to gently lift the lid and start placing all of your thoughts,
Worries and distractions inside.
Every concern,
Every nagging thought,
Everything on your to-do list,
Put it all into the box.
Now take a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Close the box.
Feel the weight lifting from your mind as you do so.
You don't need these thoughts or distractions now,
They're safe,
Tucked away,
And you can come back to them later.
As I invite you to gently move your attention to different parts of your body,
And as you do,
Allow that area to soften and relax.
Starting with your scalp,
Forehead,
Right eyebrow,
Left eyebrow,
The space between your eyebrows,
Right temple,
Left temple,
Right eye,
Left eye,
Cheeks,
Nose,
Ears,
Lip,
Lower lip,
Jaw,
Tongue,
Chin,
Throat,
Neck,
Ears,
Arms,
Hands,
Fingers,
Chest,
Upper back,
Mid-back,
Lower back,
Belly.
As you feel the rise and fall of your belly with each breath,
Hips,
Thighs,
Knees,
Calves,
Ankles,
Tops of the feet,
Soles of the feet,
All the toes,
All the toes,
The whole right side of the body,
The whole left side of the body,
The whole front of the body,
The whole back of the body,
The whole back of the body,
The whole body,
The whole body,
The whole body.
Gently shift your attention to your breath,
Inhale slowly and deeply through your nose,
Filling your lungs completely.
Hold for a second,
And then exhale softly through your mouth.
Continue this pattern,
In through your nose,
Out through your mouth.
With each breath,
Feel yourself sinking deeper into relaxation.
And now return to your natural breath.
As you repeat these affirmations after me,
My mind is clear,
Focused and at peace.
I am free from past thoughts.
I embrace the present moment with a clear and open mind.
Now I invite you just to simply be,
As you begin to bring your awareness back to your surroundings,
Noticing the sounds in your environment,
The sensation of the air against your skin.
As you blink your eyes open,
Noticing the new sense of calm and clarity you've cultivated.
