So this is a really simple and quick tutorial.
Beautiful stretching practice if you've had a day of driving or looking at screens,
Either your phone or a laptop,
Just to release tension.
Neck and the shoulders because we carry a huge amount of tension here.
So a really nice one to do after work or after you've put the kids to bed,
Just two minutes before you sit down to watch something or cook your dinner,
Perfect.
All right,
So.
Finding a comfortable seat as always.
Snuggling your bum down into the surface.
Raising your spine towards the sky.
Closing your eyes if that feels comfortable.
And placing your hands gently on your knees.
Now when you're ready,
We'll begin to melt the left ear down towards your left shoulder.
You should feel a really nice stretch across the right side of your neck.
See if you can just release.
Your right hand and just let it hang loose.
To really increase the level of sensation.
And finally,
If you want to,
You're more than welcome to place your left hand on the crown of your head.
Add a little bit of white.
That will increase the sensation even more.
And then when you're in that perfect spot Focusing on your breath,
Just taking a few rounds of long,
Slow breaths.
Each exhale imagining.
Letting go of any tension and tightness from your neck and shoulders.
And then we'll move positions.
We'll move the chin down towards the left armpit.
You might need to just negotiate a little bit with your body here until you find that place.
You should feel the stretch moving into the back of your neck this time.
Can you elaborate?
To be lovely and soft as you continue to breathe.
You know,
So well,
He could certainly fire.
Take two more breaths here.
And just notice any differences between the left and the right side of your neck before we move on.
And then slowly melt the right ear.
Towards the right shoulder and feel that.
Gorgeous stretch on the left leg.
Side of your neck this time.
You can move the back of your head a bit more back in space.
And then breathing.
Keep your sit bones nice and heavy.
Releasing your left arm,
You're just flopping it about a few times,
Really releasing any tension there.
And if a cheeky sigh falls out of your mouth,
So be it.
It's a really nice way to release tension.
Then we'll move our chin down towards our right armpit.
Release through the back of the neck It means self.
It's time just for you to let go of the day.
Take three more breaths here,
Softening through the muscles of your face.
Relaxing your eyelids,
Your cheeks,
Your tongue is heavy.
Then very slowly the head comes back to the centre.
We're just going to end with some really nice shoulder rolls.
So we'll roll forward three times first.
So as you breathe in,
Hugging your shoulders up towards your ears.
And then release two more times,
Rolling forward.
You really notice how tight and tense you are,
Right,
When you stop to do this?
And we'll roll in the opposite direction,
Up towards the ears and forward.
One more round.
And you are good to go.
Thank you so much for joining me.
I hope that was lovely and I look forward to seeing you next time.
