My Vision Board

Today, I want to remind you of something- something big. Are you ready? I want to remind you that we have the power to dream up our own life, to take small or big steps to create the life that we want to live. But often in order to be it we have to see it.

Hi,

I'm so happy that you're here today.

My name is Alexandra Nash and I am a certified unplugged meditation teacher.

Today,

I want to remind you of something,

Something big.

Okay,

Are you ready?

I want to remind you that we have the power to dream up our own life,

To take small or big steps to create the life that we want to live.

But often in order to be it,

We have to see it.

So now we will leave all the reasons and limitations and boxes to the side and truly go inwards.

All right,

Let's begin today by taking two deep breaths in through our nose and out through our mouth.

Keep slowing down that breath,

Feeling your belly rise and fall as you focus on your inhales and your exhales.

Take a moment to really feel your body's entirety.

If you're sitting up cross-legged,

Maybe let your knees fall to the side,

Feel how your sit bones touch the ground.

Relax your shoulders,

Your neck,

Even try to relax your forehead,

Your jaw,

Your lips.

And as you relax your lips,

Try to leave them slightly upwards in a small and gentle smile.

Notice how that breath moves in and out of your body.

Do not make any efforts to breathe,

But notice your body as it naturally breathes,

Your belly and your chest,

Your lungs,

Expanding on the inhale and contracting on the exhale.

Allow it to flow and feel the natural pauses in between.

When your mind wanders to thoughts or noises occur,

Gently be aware,

Let it go,

And return to focus on your breath.

Don't judge yourself,

Just let it be and come back to your center.

And as you land in your center,

Let's start painting a vision board.

A vision board in our minds.

Let's start seeing the life you truly desire.

Let's start envisioning that life right from the moment that you wake up.

What space are you in when you wake up?

Who are you with?

What do you do first thing when you wake up?

What do you wear?

Do you drink coffee or tea or something completely different?

How do you nourish your body?

Perhaps you're moving your body.

What is the weather like?

Your surrounding as you look out of the window.

What do you see?

As you sit here and focus inwards,

Keep filling your vision board up as you move out through the day in your mind.

What happens as you move into the middle of the day?

Where do you spend the majority of your day and with who?

Are you sitting at a desk or moving about?

Are you in one location?

Or in multiple?

Are you with a few selected people?

Or do you spend your days with a multitude of different groups?

Only you know what your true inner vision board looks like.

Keep breathing in through your nose and out through the mouth as you are filling up your own vision board,

Your desired life.

Are there any particular colours what is the light?

Is it bright or is it slightly darker?

Perhaps you can even feel a little bit of a taste in your mouth.

And most importantly,

As the vision board is filling up,

How does it make you feel?

Keep focusing on the breath and try to really lean into that feeling that the vision board is giving you.

Do you feel excited,

Happy,

Warm?

What are your feelings?

As you're settling into that feeling and really let it fill up your body,

Maybe your smile is growing bigger,

Take another two deep breaths on your own.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes,

Maybe stretch a little.

Sit up straight and strong.

And when you're ready,

You can open your eyes.

I hope that this vision will carry you forward and give you the courage to take one small step in the direction.

You see,

When we take time and spend it with ourselves,

Our dialogue with ourselves gets louder and stronger.

And we start to dream and we start to see.

And as we start seeing,

It's easier to believe.

And when we believe,

We can do.

We truly can.
