Hi everyone,
I'm so pleased that you're here today.
My name is Alexandra Nash and I'm a certified unplugged meditation teacher.
I hope that you have had a beautiful week.
If you're listening into this at the moment of where I'm recording this,
We're almost into April and even though the weather is very unpredictable this side of the world,
We can start hearing nature's own consistency in the voices of all the birds coming back.
And today we'll do a meditation that will support us taking a positive outlook first thing in the morning.
It will support us in feeling motivated,
Inspired and empowered.
And if it feels right for you,
We will start off today by closing our eyes.
Let's begin by taking two deep breaths in through our nose and out through our mouth.
Start to really slow down your breath,
Feeling your belly rise and fall as you inhale and exhale.
Feel your lungs expand and contract.
Drop your breath deep down into your belly and take a moment to really feel your entire body.
If you're sitting up cross-legged,
Maybe really let your knees fall to the side.
Feel how your sit bones truly are grounding you into the surface below you and feel how the crown of your head is pulled towards the sky.
Relax your shoulders away from your ears,
Relax your neck,
Relax your hands,
Your arms.
Even try to relax your jaw,
The space between your eyebrows,
The tongue from the roof of the mouth.
And take another deep breath in and feel that total relaxation.
And as you keep taking deep breaths,
Take all of that focus and energy and place it at your center,
Whether your center is your chest,
Your heart,
Your gut or the space between your eyebrows,
Wherever this present moment lands for you.
Start noticing how you're feeling right now.
What does your mind feel like?
What does your body feel like?
Keep taking the deep breaths as you're scanning through your body and mind.
How do you feel,
My friend,
In this moment?
How does your body feel?
How does your mind feel?
Let me ask you,
Is this how you want to feel?
Are there parts perhaps that you don't want to carry?
Can you release them?
Are there feelings that make you feel empowered?
Can you perhaps feel more of those?
Breathe in more of those attributes that you want to keep and with a big exhale,
Exhale all the ones that are not yours to carry for now and release them from yourself.
What attributes do you really want to call in for yourself in order for you to be the best version of you in the day that lies ahead?
What attributes do you want to call in to be the best version of you in the day ahead?
Possibly it could be some version of I am me,
I am enough,
I am free,
I am safe and I am strong.
Keep taking deep breaths and if your mind starts to wander into the past or into the future just let it go and land back here in this present moment.
I am me,
I am enough,
I am free,
I am safe and I am strong.
Keep repeating that mantra as you're taking deep breaths or some version of that mantra that better suits you.
I am me,
I am enough,
I am free,
I am safe and I am strong.
Gently take two more deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Breathe those mantras into your body and release them into the best version of you that's going to take on today.
Start slowly coming back but try to keep that state of being as you're entering back into the day.
You can start wiggling your fingers and toes,
Maybe stretch a little,
Sit up carefully and when you're ready you can open your eyes.
