Hi,
My name is Alexandra Nash with Unplugged Meditation.
I used to be an elite swimmer and like many of us,
Swimmers or not,
I was always striving,
Hunting for faster and bigger goals,
Going from one thing to the next without too much contemplation.
But that all changed about eight years ago when I started meditating.
I started moving from my head to my heart and I started hearing a voice and the voice was inside of me and the voice told me that I could trust myself.
And today I would like to guide you through a meditation on self-trust.
So let's make ourselves comfortable and if it feels right for you,
You can close your eyes.
During this entire practice,
Our intention is to take deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
But don't worry,
I'll keep reminding you.
Let's take a deep breath in together and let that go with an audible sigh through the mouth.
Let's do that one more time.
Now let's imagine it's the morning of a very significant day for you.
A day that you prepared for,
For a long time.
A day that could perhaps change your future.
But today,
Like any other day,
All we have is right now in this present moment.
And in this present moment,
You are on the starting block of your own life.
You cannot control what's happened in the past,
Nor can you control what's going to happen in the future.
The only thing that matters right now is this moment right here.
As you're taking another deep breath,
I want you to know that you can trust yourself.
You can trust your body,
You can trust your body,
You can trust your mind.
You have done all that was required of you.
What was,
Was,
What will be,
Will be.
But right now,
You can trust that you are exactly where you need to be.
I invite you to take two more deep breaths.
And as you're doing that,
Notice the warmth in your body as you're settling and grounding to that thought.
Allow yourself to trust that feeling as you move through your day.
Take one last breath.
Start wiggling your fingers and toes.
Maybe stretch a little.
Place your hands on your heart.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
Trust yourself.
You know you're ready.
Thank you for meditating with me,
And I hope to see you soon.
