Hi,
I'm Alex L.
And I will be guiding you through a restorative meditation practice today.
It's no secret that the world is collectively going through a scary and uncertain time.
This meditation was created for re-centering during fear,
Chaos,
And uncertainty.
We cannot control what's going on outside of us,
But we can do our best to come back to our breath,
To come back to ourselves in moments like these.
Let's take a minute to slow down together.
Find a comfortable seat,
Or if you rather have this play in the background while you relax,
Feel free to do that instead.
At this moment,
I want us to be intentional about our breathing.
Shift your attention inward and be mindful of your inhale and your exhale.
Tune into the truth of the moment.
We are alive.
Be here now,
Center your body,
Soften and release what is no longer serving you.
During this practice,
If your mind wanders,
Give it permission to do so.
You will find your way back eventually.
And when you do,
Narrow in on your breathing.
Something I'd like you to carry with you today is the question,
How can I comfort my fear?
So often we're encouraged to ignore our fear and just press forward regardless,
Or even run from it.
But I have a dare for you.
Walk alongside it.
Take it by the hand.
Be curious about it.
It's okay to be scared.
It's okay not to know what's next.
Taking care of ourselves requires telling the truth.
And sometimes the truth is scary.
And still we must breathe.
You're going to hear me saying this mantra throughout our meditation together.
Be here now,
Center,
Soften,
Release.
As we breathe together,
Pay attention to how you feel in your body.
What feels good?
Where do things feel tender?
What hurts?
What has been or is being healed?
When is the last time you let go a little bit of the stressors that we face in life?
It may be a challenge,
But I want you to take a minute and breathe into these questions.
You don't have to answer them all at once or at this very moment.
Allow them to swirl around in your head and let them go.
Be here now,
Center,
Soften your body,
And release control.
For the next few minutes,
I want to invite you to comfort yourself,
To take care of yourself by simply being intentional about your inhale and your exhale.
Give yourself permission to be here now.
Give yourself permission to not know what's next.
Give yourself permission to breathe through it.
Remember,
You are alive.
And as long as you're alive,
You can choose to begin again.
Take your time.
Forgive yourself.
Start over as many times as you need to.
At this moment,
Right here,
Right now,
You are blessed.
There is no need to rush your healing.
On the count of three,
Tune into your breathing.
Really intentionally.
Indulge and lean in to this meditation.
Indulge and lean in to you being alive.
Be here now.
Center your spirit.
Soften your shoulders.
And release.
Breathe in deeply here for three,
Two,
One.
Tune into your body.
Slowly exhale through your nose here for three,
Two,
One.
Let's try that again.
Breathe in here for three.
Breathe out for three.
I want to leave you with these words of encouragement.
You don't always have to be strong.
Resilience is in your blood regardless.
It's okay to not be okay because you will always find your way home.
Release the urge to figure things out.
Give the blessing of being alive right now.
Center,
Soften,
Release.
Feel the rise and fall of your belly.
Allow the fear to just exist.
Give it space.
Allow the unknown to be what it is.
Relax your body.
Be here now.
Center,
Soften,
Release.
You deserve this moment.
You can have this moment.
It is yours.
You are yours.
Tomorrow is a gift,
But so is today.
You don't have to do anything about anything right now.
Just be here.
Repeat after me.
I don't have to know what's next.
I will do my best today with what I have.
I am worthy of my time.
I can show up as my full self.
I will release what no longer serves me when I'm ready.
As we start to bring our attention back to the body,
I want you to remember your worth.
Discover your purpose,
Address your fears,
And just be here.
In times of stress,
You can rely on your breathing to support you.
Give yourself grace today and always.
I hope you enjoyed our time.
Feel free to return to this practice whenever you need a reminder.
Big love.
Take care.

This was so helpful, as I approach another weekend, which have proven to be so challenging to manage. I needed to hear that I am allowed to just exist, and to feel, without trying to force change. Thank you for such an impactful guided meditation.

Very empowering meditation after a tumultuous day in my country yesterday that left me wondering, "What's next?" But as the meditation guides, I don't have to have it all figured out ♥️

One of my very favorite meditation teachers on here! Your words are so calming, and your voice is so soothing. I felt very relaxed and able to focus on the present. I haven’t always been a fan of breathing techniques, but I know that that is something I must continue to work on. Thank you for sharing this beautiful meditation. Namaste.
