Hello everyone.
My name is Alex L.
And thank you so much for joining me for this affirmation meditation.
I'm an author,
Certified breathwork coach,
And a restorative writing teacher.
In today's practice,
We're going to be thinking about healing as a way to find deeper liberation and connection,
Not just to ourselves,
But to the world around us.
You can feel free to take this as a moving meditation.
So think brewing a cup of tea,
Going on a walk,
Or maybe stretching while this plays in your ear.
Or,
As always,
You are welcomed to be in a seated position,
Leaning in to this meditation as well.
I want you to do what feels right and good for you in this moment.
Okay?
Let's begin.
As we start our practice,
Take a deep breath in through the nose and exhale through the nose,
Emptying your belly,
Dropping your shoulders,
And unclenching your jaw.
As you heal,
Be patient with yourself.
You may backtrack.
You may stumble.
You may have to heal from things that you thought you'd already addressed.
Pace yourself.
Give yourself grace on your healing journey.
You're allowed to take your time.
Brushing is not serving your healing.
Take all the time you need to feel like yourself again.
I know quitting feels safer sometimes.
I know turning away from our healing may feel more comfortable for the moment,
But trust that every stop and every start is a baby step leading you closer to yourself.
You are well on your way.
Love yourself through the highs and the lows.
As you heal,
Rest when you need to,
Emotional fatigue is not in alignment with the restoration you are seeking.
Give yourself permission to take a deep breath.
Under all the darkness that we face in this life,
There can and will be light.
Inhale deep through the nose,
Softening your body and your face,
Unclenching your jaw,
Keeping your shoulders.
Bring yourself back to my voice as you breathe.
Bring yourself back to yourself as you breathe.
Everything else can wait.
This is your time.
Healing can sometimes be more painful than the thing that hurts us.
Don't quit.
You're changing and you're growing.
I know this feels deeply uncomfortable and I know it's easier to stop than it is to keep healing,
But you are so worthy of this new beginning,
My friends.
A gentle reminder,
Breakthroughs are not supposed to be easy.
Give yourself permission to rest when you need to rest.
And when you're ready,
Keep healing what you need to heal.
Remember,
When you choose to heal,
You choose yourself.
Remember,
When you choose to heal,
You're also healing the collective.
When we heal ourselves,
We heal our lineage.
Take a deep breath in with me,
Friends,
Through the nose and exhale through the open mouth,
Sigh it out.
Keep your shoulders and unclench your jaw.
Give yourself permission to soften in this moment.
Thank you so much for being with me today.
Again,
My name is Alex L.
And I am honored to have been your guide for this affirmation meditation.
Take good care.
