Find a comfortable seat,
Close your eyes,
Allow your hands to rest comfortably in your lap,
Palms facing up or down.
Start to draw the crown of your head away from your tailbone,
Sitting up as tall as you can but also honoring the natural S-curve of your spine.
So as we inhale,
We lift the crown of the head.
As we exhale slowly through the mouth,
We relax the belly and soften the tailbone towards the surface.
As we inhale again,
We lift the shoulders up towards our ears nice and slow and as we exhale,
We let the shoulders melt down the back,
Allowing the spine to be lengthened and yet softening along the natural curves of our body and back.
Allow your face to melt,
Allow your edges to soften,
Gently noticing the tip of your tongue perhaps behind the front row of your top teeth,
Noticing where your lips naturally touch and where they naturally part,
Not changing a thing.
With your mind's eye,
Scanning your body without judgment,
Softening the areas that feel tense or tight,
Breathing deeply into that exact spot with compassion and curiosity.
Surrender the need to fix or to shift,
Surrender the habit of judgment,
Surrender the habit of guilt or shame and breathe into the deep well of peace and joy and love and light that resides within you always underneath of the thinking,
Underneath of the sensation.
Shifting your awareness to your mind,
Noticing your thoughts and asking yourself who is the one thinking these thoughts,
Dropping behind them,
Watching them like beautiful white fluffy clouds in a clear blue sky.
You,
Your essential nature is the clear blue sky and your thoughts and your sensations and your feelings are those beautiful white fluffy clouds coming and going.
We don't try to stop our thoughts or feelings,
We witness them and we wear life like a loose garment.
Feelings and thoughts,
They come,
Breathe in,
Witness them,
Feelings and thoughts,
They go.
Every breath in,
We witness,
Every breath out,
We witness,
Returning to that beautiful clear blue sky as we remember and feel into our truest self,
Our higher self.
Stay here as long as you'd like and when you're ready,
Wiggle your fingers and toes and open your eye and with a new clarity and centeredness,
Take in your surrounding with a soft smile on your face.
Take a big stretch in any way that feels intuitive and enjoy your day.
