With day and night being equal in length, the first day of spring is an auspicious time for reflection and intention-setting. In this meditation, you will reflect on the past six months, set intentions for the next six months, and release any limiting thoughts or patterns in order to allow your seeds of intention to grow and bloom. Hi,

My name is Asa.

Welcome to this Spring Equinox Guided Meditation.

In this meditation,

You'll reflect on the past six months,

Set intentions for the next six months,

And release any limiting thoughts or patterns in order to allow your seeds of intention to grow and bloom.

Please come to a comfortable seat.

You may close your eyes or leave them open with a soft gaze on the floor a few feet in front of you.

On your next inhale,

Allow the crown of your head to lift up,

Lengthening through your spine.

And on the following exhale,

Allow your shoulders to relax down towards the earth.

Notice if you're holding any tension in your face,

Your neck,

Your shoulders,

Or anywhere else in your body.

With the next few exhales,

Allow your body to release that tension,

Like a wave of relaxation washing it away from your body.

Bring your full awareness to your body breathing.

Notice the gentle rise and fall of your belly and chest as you breathe in and out.

Even if any thoughts float through your mind,

Simply recognize them and then kindly bring your attention back to your body breathing.

We'll begin our Spring Equinox practice with a period of reflection.

If the past six months were particularly challenging or emotional,

I invite you to place one or both hands over your heart and give yourself extra love and compassion during this part of the meditation.

When you're ready,

Allow the past six months to replay in your mind,

Starting in September and rolling all the way through today.

Notice what was important to you and how you spent your time.

Remember any accomplishments or challenges,

And be sure to note any new insights you gained or lessons that you learned.

And take a few more minutes to reflect over the past fall and winter,

Perhaps wrapping up this period of reflection with a moment of gratitude,

Noting a few things in particular that you are most grateful for.

Take a deep breath in and let it out with a big sigh.

Next,

I invite you to connect with your dreams and desires for the next six months,

From now until September.

Is there anything you'd like to achieve or any projects you'd like to complete?

Is there a feeling or a quality you'd like to embody?

Where would you like to focus your energy?

Take a few more minutes to dream about everything you'd like to happen this spring and summer,

From your work life to your personal life to your spiritual life and everything in between.

Take a deep breath in,

Holding your intentions in your awareness,

And as you exhale,

Imagine releasing those intentions out into the universe,

Letting your dreams be known.

Now that you've reflected on the past and set intentions for the future,

I invite you to take a moment to recognize any limiting thoughts,

Unhelpful behaviors,

Or negative patterns that haven't been serving you,

Anything that weighed down your energy or held you back from moving forward.

What can you let go of or change in order to accomplish your goals and realize your dreams this spring and summer?

Take a deep breath in and on the exhale visualize letting go of all of those things.

Enjoy a few more minutes in this meditative space,

Adding anything else you'd like,

Such as a moment of prayer,

Or perhaps visualizing your dreams and desires having already come true.

Slowly begin to open your awareness out to the space around you.

Notice any sounds around you.

Feel where your body connects to the chair and the floor.

Whenever you're ready,

Take a deep breath in and on your exhale gently sit back,

Take a stretch,

And blink open your eyes.

Thank you for practicing this Spring Equinox guided meditation.

I wish you a wonderful rest of your day and a fantastic spring and summer.
