Take a moment now to adjust your posture.
Sitting with an upright and open posture.
And when you are ready,
Gently closing your eyes.
Take a moment now to relax your body.
Take three slow,
Deep conscious breaths.
And as you breathe out,
Feel your muscles softening and loosening.
Allow your breath to find its own depth and rhythm now.
To just breathe itself.
Bring your attention to your whole body.
Your feet,
Legs,
Torso,
Back,
Neck and head.
Notice any sensations in your body.
A tightness,
Softness,
Tingling,
Stiffness.
Whatever is there,
Just notice all the sensations with curiosity and compassion.
Notice any thoughts about your body.
Perhaps there are thoughts that your body is defective,
Sick or broken in some way.
Simply notice how your mind speaks to and about your body.
Is it kind?
Is it supportive?
Is it helpful?
Without trying to stop or change the thoughts,
Just watch the thoughts coming and going.
And as you watch the thoughts,
Feel the breath flow deeply.
With the intention to understand how you are feeling,
Simply ask yourself,
How am I feeling in this moment?
Now with the intention to connect your mind and body,
Ask yourself,
Where do I feel this in my body?
Perhaps your throat,
Chest or belly.
The feeling line of the body where we tend to store our emotions.
Sit alongside the feelings with compassion and curiosity and allow your breath to flow deeply throughout your body.
Imagine your mind and body are now one.
There is no distinction between the two.
They simply exist as an entity,
A wholeness,
A oneness.
As one,
They work together to keep you safe,
Supported and well.
One cannot be well without the other.
Now with the intention to offer your mind and body compassion,
Repeat the following phrases.
May I be kind to my mind and body.
May I treat my mind and body with respect.
May I take care of my mind and body as best I can.
Bring your attention to your whole body once again.
Your feet,
Legs,
Torso.
Notice any sensations in your body.
Tightness,
Softness,
Tingling,
Stiffness.
Whatever is there,
Just notice all the sensations with curiosity and compassion.
Breathe deeply,
And when you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Thank you.
