Exactly as you are,
Take three smooth and steady breaths.
Imagine that the breath was filling up the entire body.
Using the full torso to animate the breath.
Continue breathing with awareness on the breath.
And however you're positioned in space,
You might choose to find your way up into a seated place or you might remain if you're lying down.
Make a choice.
And as you breathe in this next breath,
Really sip it in like you're smelling the most delicious smell and then slowly release,
Let it go.
And as you are here in your meditation this morning,
Start by taking a moment of gratitude for showing up for yourself,
For committing to a guided meditation practice.
For when we start to own our mornings,
When we start to center ourselves before the day takes shape,
Notice how the day alters,
How it becomes more elevated and expanded from a space of calm tranquility.
So we're going to work into that tranquil aspect to begin with.
Whatever breath you've got in the lungs,
I encourage you to release it all the way out,
To let it go,
Go,
Go.
And then breathe in,
Two,
Three,
Four and out,
Two,
Three,
Four.
In two,
Three,
Four and out,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Continue with this rhythm,
In for four,
Out for four.
And imagine that the breath was starting to awaken all the different parts of the body.
So you might start with the awareness of the feet,
The breath starting to animate this part of the body internally,
Moving up through the legs,
Hips,
Hands,
Arms,
Torso,
Shoulders and up into the head,
All the way to the very top of your head.
Even the entire body starting to wake up from the inside.
Using this beautiful prana,
This chi,
Our vital energy through the practice of the breath.
Start to expand that breath a little bit brighter now.
Imagine that there was a sphere or a ball of warm,
Golden energy,
Just like a sunrise.
And it's animating itself in the very center of you.
And with that breath in,
That ball of warmth expands to the very extremities of your skin and beyond.
And with the breath out,
It comes back from the boundaries,
Back to your center.
So just experience that for a few breaths,
Breathing in,
Expand that beautiful warmth through the body out to the very edges of you and beyond.
And breathing out,
Draw it back into your vital center.
Beautifully done.
And then allow your awareness to gently rest in the third eye.
So that's that part just between the eyebrows in the center.
Our seat of wisdom,
Our seat of intuition.
And then you might imagine now that white or yellow or golden light here massaging internally the brain,
The face.
Keeping that awareness just there in the third eye,
We're going to drop in some morning affirmations.
And this is a way to draw our awareness and our mind space to something of the positive so that we can step into that space before the day begins.
So I'll leave a bit of space after I've announced the affirmation for you to repeat internally if you wish.
Otherwise,
You can just allow my voice to take you through those affirmations.
Today I open to the boundless potential of my life.
Today I open to the boundless potential of my life.
Today I treat myself and others with uncompromising kindness.
Today I treat myself and others with uncompromising kindness.
Today I accept all that I am and all that I have.
Today I accept all that I am and all that I have.
Today in moments of unrest I will come back to my breath.
Today in moments of unrest I will come back to my breath.
Today I will see the world through eyes of gratitude.
Today I will see the world with eyes of gratitude.
Today I will not put things off,
I will action them today.
Today I will not put things off,
I will action them today.
Today I will operate from a smoothness within.
Today I will operate from a smoothness within.
Start to lengthen and expand the breath once more filling into the lower lobes of the lungs.
You might start to bring a little bit of movement to the toes,
To the fingers.
You might soften the neck,
Rolling the head.
And as you do that being grateful for this body that you get to wake up in today.
This body that's just going to take you around and do what you need to do.
But let's serve this body today.
So find some time in your day to give back to your body however that looks,
However that feels.
And remember that it's not the years in our life,
It's the amount of life in our years.
So make today day one that you bring that sense of life and vitality back into your experience.
Full of appreciation,
Full of gratitude for this gifted day.
If the eyes are closed gently blink them open and chanted with the day ahead.
