There's likely something you truly want in your life right now.
And part of you may not be sure how to achieve it,
Or whether you're even capable of having it.
So maybe you judge it.
Maybe you call it ego.
Maybe you feel it's not realistic.
Or maybe you swing the other way and try to manifest what you want into reality as fast as possible.
But what if… the desire itself.
Is not the point.
What if the thing you want is actually trying to tell you something about who you are.
Because often what we desire is not the final answer.
Instead.
.
.
It may just be a breadcrumb trail.
Back to a truer identity.
So in this video,
I want to share with you how to listen to your desires.
So you can stop obsessing over the outcome and understand what they're trying to reveal about the identity you're being asked to step into and own.
First,
We'll look at what to do when you actually have a strong desire.
Instead of dismissing it or trying to force it into into existence.
Then we'll explore how desire actually works like a mirror,
And what your surface level wants is actually pointing you to underneath.
And finally,
I'll share a simple practice to trace any desire back.
To the self you're being asked to recover and step into.
So if you're ready to get started.
Take a deep breath with me here.
Have what you desire right now in your life.
Ready?
Not to judge it.
Not to force it,
But to begin listening to it.
So let's start by understanding that desire itself can be tricky.
Because it evokes so many different emotions in us.
Especially if you're on a spiritual path,
It can be easy to look at a desire as ego or attachment or selfishness,
Right?
In many traditions,
Desire is the root of suffering.
But you might take the other extreme when you have a desire,
Trying to effort your way into manifesting it.
But maybe the first move is to do neither.
Maybe the first move is to sit with your desire long enough to ask what it's trying to show you.
Because yes,
While all desires we have may not be pure.
Some coming from our ego,
And not all are meant to be pursued.
They all carry information.
So desire is actually a signal.
Not a command.
So before you go and judge your desire,
Before you go and chase it,
There's a third option.
You listen to it.
What is this desire trying to tell me about myself?
Because we think desire is all about the end result,
Right?
Our longing starts with some kind of tangible result or outcome.
But it doesn't end there.
So you may think you want the new relationship.
More money.
The massive audience.
The exciting life chapter,
And maybe you do,
But underneath the actual want,
There is usually something older,
A feeling,
A state of being,
A truth waiting for you to look at,
Or a part of yourself asking to be honored.
For example,
The desire for money.
May be pointing towards freedom,
Safety,
Peace of mind,
Or self-trust.
Longing for that new relationship?
May be pointing to being seen.
Giving and receiving,
Or feeling worthy,
The desire to do meaningful,
Purposeful work.
May be pointing to expression.
Service.
Aliveness.
Or simply permission to stop hiding.
This is where desire becomes a mirror.
It reveals what you value.
What you're tired of tolerating,
And what part of yourself wants to come forward?
To be expressed and experienced.
And here's the deeper pattern we don't realize is going on inside us.
Desire starts off as an idea from the mind.
Concepts and visions,
But underneath it points to a state of being that state of being points to an identity and that identity.
It points to the part of ourselves that's trying to come alive through the desire.
So now the question changes.
You're no longer asking,
What do I want?
Or how do I get it?
You're asking,
What is this desire showing me about the self I am ready to become more honest about?
Because if you focus only on the surface level desire,
You may miss the deeper invitation that this desire is offering you.
Is that your desire is trying to guide you back.
To the place inside you that already knows the life that only you can live.
Toward the version of you that matches what you want.
And to claim it as yours.
Not to just think about it.
It's pushing you to step into a truer identity.
And that requires embracing all parts of you.
The parts you like and enjoy,
And even the parts that challenge you.
This is how manifestation becomes a way towards authenticity.
It's about listening to your desires.
As a way to self-actualize.
As information about who you're becoming.
Okay,
So now you're probably wondering.
.
.
How you can actually start listening to what your desires are actually telling you about your identity.
It's simple.
Take one desire,
That really matters to you.
The one that keeps nudging you right now.
And declare it simply.
I want to.
Finish that statement.
What do you want?
Because declaring what you want,
Especially if you write it out,
Is a way of owning that desire.
Then ask,
What do I believe?
This will ultimately give me.
But don't stop at the tangible outcome.
Don't stop at the first responses that come to your mind.
Go beneath them.
What do you believe what you want will ultimately give you?
Keep digging.
And let yourself see where it takes you and what it helps you remember.
About the truer identity that life has been asking you to embody.
And to really get at that identity,
You can ask this last question.
What is this desire?
Specifically showing me about who I am meant to be,
And by extension,
Who I no longer want to be,
Be as specific as possible on both accounts.
Because if you only take one thing from this video,
Let it be that throughout your life you will have countless desires.
Some will be fleeting.
Some you'll mistaken.
Some you'll never actually go after.
But a select few will intensify when you realize they're connected to something more alive inside you.
Something you've sensed you were always meant to become.
Those are the ones to listen to most closely.
Because remember,
Your desires are not just something to attract or attain.
It's not the final answer.
It's the breadcrumb trail back to the self.
You're looking to recover.
And step into.
So the next time something keeps pulling at you,
Something keeps nudging you,
Don't rush to dismiss it.
Don't rush to chase it.
Instead,
Ask for help.
What is it trying to show me about myself?
And let that be your mantra for today.
What I truly desire.
Is showing me the self.
I am ready to return to.
And if this video resonated with you,
Feel free to leave a comment with that exact mantra.
What I truly desire is showing me the self-love.
I am ready to return to.
Thanks for watching today.
I'll talk to you soon.
Much love.
