Hello and welcome,
Everyone,
To the next installment of our Simply Happy series.
In this one,
We're really just going to sound the OM and allow the sound just to work its way and its magic through you.
The OM chant has been used for many centuries and has proven to have a number of benefits,
Including reducing stress and anxiety,
Improving concentration,
Enhancing respiratory function,
And by promoting relaxation,
It calms the nervous system,
Lowers blood pressure,
And can lead to a deeper state of meditation and spiritual awareness.
And so if we can find these benefits,
Of course,
This will make us a happier being.
So let's start by either sitting in a comfortable position or lying on the floor,
Whichever one suits you.
And the OM chant is really quite simple to chant yourself,
But however,
We will have some in the background.
You will hear it in the background as I go quiet.
But it's really pronounced A-U-M,
Not O-M,
As it's written.
And if you listen,
You'll hear that.
And in fact,
That's the only sound that human beings can make without using their tongue or their hands or banging things.
So this is the universal language,
The universal OM.
Before everything,
There was the OM.
Allow yourself to rest in peace with this,
Gently just listening to the sounds around you,
Intently listening to the sounds as you settle in,
Allowing the breath to become deeper and deeper.
Each breath is taking you deeper.
Each moment is giving you more.
Allow yourself to take this,
Bring it on board,
And gently listen to the OM sound as it fades in.
Allow it to flow through you,
Flow through you.
And then just relax in its memory,
Getting deeper now,
Much deeper now,
Listening to the sounds way,
Way out in the distance.
If you hear a sound,
Then move to another,
And another.
But don't associate a meaning to the sound,
Just the sound wave itself.
And listen,
Listen,
Listen.
Feel connected.
Bring a simple smile to your face.
Just gently lift the corners of the mouth up,
And feel life radiating through you.
Feel present.
Feel happiness.
Be grateful.
Watch the body breathing.
Simply watch the body breathing,
Becoming pure awareness,
Pure awareness.
And as the OM comes in again,
Focus on your third eye.
Focus on that area.
Feel the OM.
Feel the OM.
More than listening and hearing.
Feel connection with it.
The universal of prayer.
The sound of OM.
Connected.
Feel the body against the floor or the chair.
Feel the sound moving through you.
Become involved with the third eye.
It is what it is.
See the sounds.
See the shape.
Images,
Pattern.
And notice how there is no beginning and no end.
No beginning.
And just let all the OM sound disappear.
Feel the echo of the OM.
Feel the echo of the OM as you sit in silence for a few moments.
I'll just leave you now.
And then bring yourself back.
Listen to the sound.
Feel the body against the ground,
Against your seat.
Listening.
Breathing.
Take some control over the breath.
Gently starting to breathe the body.
Coming back now.
Coming back to this level of consciousness.
Gently coming back.
Coming back.
Move the body.
Stretch yourselves out somewhat.
Feel peace.
Feel simply happy.
Happy for being in this environment.
Simply happy.
Coming all the way back now.
Getting on with your day.
Or going to bed,
Whichever is for you.
Coming all the way back.
All the way back.
