Hello everybody and welcome to your practice of meditation with Yogi Phoenix.
Today we're going to do a visualization practice so I'd like you to get yourself comfortable,
Settle down on the floor,
Settle down in your bed,
Wherever it is that you practice meditation,
On a seat,
Somewhere that you feel safe,
Somewhere that you can be in the present moment without any concerns.
Find that space,
Settle in and then simply listen to my voice.
Remind yourself that this is for you,
This is to help you grow,
Be more grounded and do what you do in a much more positive manner.
As I said,
This is going to be a visualization practice and it's about letting go.
So we all have situations that we're tied to and what we want to do here is untie those strings.
I have a friend who was bitten by a dog and the dog,
When she was a child and left a scar,
Emotionally and physically.
But she can't let go of this because she's terrified of dogs.
But it was one dog and one incident and yes it was bad but so she's now living that over and over and over every time she sees or hears a dog.
So we've all been bitten by the dog somewhere.
All of us have that story.
Bitten by some dog or other,
What's your dog?
Let's dig deep through this meditation and see if we can find that dog and let it go.
Relax into this.
Simply relax,
Let go of the breath,
Let go of any excess energy.
Take a slow breath in and let it go with a soft sigh.
Recognize you've arrived.
There's nothing to do or fix or figure out,
No to-do lists.
This time is yours.
A quiet moment of simply being.
Imagine you've been walking through life carrying a heavy backpack,
Full of worries,
Expectation,
Memories and responsibilities.
Some of these things are important,
Yes,
But many are just old stories you've forgotten to put down.
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,
Sense the weight of that backpack.
Feel how your shoulders have been holding up,
Maybe for years,
Maybe your whole life.
Let your shoulders drop a little.
Let your breath move in and out of your body freely.
Let this moment be a small act of release.
Allow yourself to release.
Let go.
Melt into the mat or on your chair.
Now in your mind's eye,
See yourself standing on a quiet path in nature.
The air is soft and warm.
You can hear a You look down and notice there's a backpack resting against your back.
Go ahead,
Take it off.
Feel the strap slide from your shoulders,
The relief as it lands softly on the ground.
Take a few slow breaths as your body adjusts to this new lightness.
Just imagine no backpack.
Notice how your chest opens,
How your spine lengths a little,
How the breath flows easier.
Now imagine opening the backpack and looking inside.
What's in there?
Maybe a thought you've carried for a long time,
A worry about someone you love,
A regret,
Or an old story about who you were.
Without analyzing,
Just notice what appears.
And with your next breath,
Let one thing go.
You can imagine it dissolving into the surrounds,
Into the beautiful surrounds that you're in.
Mother Nature is soaking it up and the breeze is carrying it away.
With every exhale,
Something heavy lifts.
With every inhale,
A quiet ease returns.
Let it go.
Feel a gentle ease throughout your body.
A gentle ease throughout the body.
Now feel your whole body.
Feel your body against the mat or the chair.
Feel lighter,
Freer,
More spacious.
Notice the stillness underneath everything.
Be involved in that stillness.
Involved in the stillness.
Once you've let go,
There's space for joy.
Find that space and fill it with joy.
A joy of being alive.
A joy of being able to do as you wish.
A joy of making your own choices.
Light and easy.
Light and easy.
Breathe into that feeling.
The soft,
Steady rhythm of being alive.
Peaceful.
Unburdened.
Whole.
If a gentle smile wants to appear,
Let it.
This is the quiet smile that comes when you realize happiness doesn't come from adding more.
It comes from carrying less.
It comes from carrying less.
Feel light.
Unburdened.
Aware of your pure being.
Pure joy.
Rest in that.
Rest in that.
Take one more slow,
Full breath in.
And as you exhale,
Imagine setting the backpack down for good.
You don't need to carry what no longer serves you.
It's time to let go.
Time to let go.
Melting into it.
Letting go of all your worries.
All your chaos.
When you're ready,
Begin to bring awareness back to your surroundings.
Feel your body supported beneath you.
Notice the space around you.
And as you move back into your day,
Or into sleep,
Carry this lightness with you.
You are enough,
Just as you are.
Free to walk gently through the world.
Open,
Grounded,
And simply happy.
Simply happy.
Gently starting to come back now.
Coming back now.
Moving your body.
Stretching yourself out.
Or if you want to fall asleep,
By all means,
Just stay where you are.
But if you need to carry on with your day,
It's now time to do that.
Coming back.
All the way back.
Eyes are open.
Feel the senses.
Stretch the body.
All the way back.
The practice is now over.
Thank you ever so much for being with me in this moment.
I hope you loved the practice and that you can carry forward in your day with lightness from my heart to yours with much love until we meet again Yogi Phoenix
