Welcome to this practice of yoga nidra and laying your body down now to rest taking your time to find the most comfiest spot,

Covering yourself up with blankets and cushioning yourself with pillows and cushions for any curves of neck or back of knee or side of belly anything that would make you feel more cozy in your yoga nidra nest and tucking yourself in with love and kindness maybe you want to keep the eyes open and that's totally fine or maybe you want something to cover the eyes can be nice an eye mask or even a clean sock will do we won't judge and as you settle down into the surface below you I hope it's a comfy surface can you let the weight of your body drop down into the earth below you and feeling down deep deep down below you is the earth mother earth pachamama goddess of nature whatever you want to call her she's there and she's waiting and she is happy for you to rest to slow down to the pace of plants and trees just for a while can you feel as your body gives its weight to the surface below you that mother earth is rising up to meet you to hold you and to hold your weight cupping you gently in her upturned palms just like you're a little sleepy be resting in the petals of the most beautiful flower and taking a few deeper breaths in as we settle the body and inviting some humming now on your exhales take a few homes humming communicating through vibration to your heart and your bones that it's time to rest and the humming vibrations can travel down into the surface below you and down into the earth so the earth mother can feel your vibrations and she can know that you're resting to your homing giving a little tickle to the great belly of mother earth below and now resting be letting all tasks and to-dos slip away nothing to do but to be here you don't even need to listen to my voice that much you might slip in and out of conscious attention and that's fine you might fall asleep and that's unreal as well why not do whatever your body calls for you to do letting the face rest itself of expression and the head be heavy the arms and hands nothing else to carry the belly can be soft and the back can melt and the bum cheeks releasing anything held in there and legs and feet can be soft and still nowhere else to go the place to be is here and in yoga nidra we use the light of our awareness to travel around the body and the breath and the mind and the imagination and into different states of consciousness and into the states in between and we'll start this journey in the right hand thumb the humble thumb home to many sensations on the head side and the inside and sensing the right index finger middle finger fourth finger and little finger and putting all your awareness into the palm of your right hand and moving it to the back of the hand the wrist forearm elbow upper arm and shoulder and moving your awareness stand through the armpit side of the ribs waist and right hip the right thigh knee lower leg and ankle all resting down sensing the top of the right foot and the sole of the right foot the right big toe the right baby toe and all the little toes in between resting now what sensations can you feel in the left thumb on the inside of the thumb and the skin on the outside and the index finger middle finger fourth finger and little finger concentrating all your awareness in the palm of the left hand and the back of the hand the wrist forearm elbow upper arm and shoulder awareness pouring through the left armpit side of the ribs the waist and hip moving down the left thigh knee lower leg and ankle sensing the top of the left foot sole of the foot big toe baby toe and all the little toes in between resting now and the back of your body can you bring rest into both heels the backs of the calves of the knees backs of the thighs and both bum cheeks welcoming any sensations in the lower back middle back upper back and the two shoulder blades the back of the neck the back of the head and the top of the head and sensing the left side of the brain the right side of the brain both sides of the brain at the same time moving your awareness to the left temple right temple forehead left eyebrow right eyebrow and concentrating all your awareness on the eyebrow center the space between the eyebrows moving down to the left eye right eye both eyes at the same time the nose left cheek right cheek left ear right ear and both ears at the same time the top lip and the bottom lip the tongue teeth gums insides of the cheeks all resting along with the chin the jaw throat a little hollow at the base of the throat the left collarbone and the right collarbone left side of the chest and the right side of the chest a wave of rest moving with the awareness down into the lower ribs the upper belly belly button and the lower belly and all of the organs quietly dutifully working away in the whole belly and the pelvic bowl and sensing the pubic bone the left hip on the right hip top of the left thigh and top of the right thigh top of the left knee top of the right knee the left shin and the right shin top of the left foot and the top of the right foot all the toes on the left foot and all the toes on the right foot sensing the whole left leg from toe tip to hip the whole right leg from toe tip to hip and feeling into both legs at the same time sensing the left arm and hand the right arm and hand and both arms and hands at the same time feeling the back of the body the front of the body belly and chest feeling the front of the body on the back of the body at the same time feeling the back of the head resting down on the face feeling the whole head and face resting together feeling the whole left side of the body now from the top of the head down an invisible line through the middle of your body whole left side of the body from the crown of the head to the left fingers and left toes on the whole right side of the body from the top of the head on the right side to the right fingers and the right toes feeling the whole right side of the body on the whole left side of the body right and left left and right at the same time feeling the air moving gently in and out of your body feeling the belly and the chest gently expanding on the exhale and the body gently contracting down on the exhale expanding up and out on the inhale and contracting in and down on the exhale inhaling to expand and exhaling to contract expanding and contracting moving up and out and moving in and down feeling spacious on the inhale and feeling heavy and weighted on the exhale and how would it be to hold the expansiveness and the contraction at the same time in your awareness awareness of sensations of expansion and spaciousness and contraction and groundedness at the same time expanding and contracting at the same time and taking the awareness now into the third eye center the space behind the eyes the safe dark space into which we can invite our imagination to arise and to unfold and feeling once again that you're a little bee having a little rest in the most beautiful flower in the most beautiful garden and what kind of flower would you be resting in if like the luckiest bee in the world you could choose what color flower is it maybe a beautiful yellow flower or a deep red a bright pink or a lovely blue what shape are the petals now that you're resting inside maybe they're two-toned red on the outside and yellow on the inside maybe they're wide or ruffled and just imagine what would it be like if you let your imagination run with this bee imagine poking your little fuzzy bee head out of the flower now and looking around you and you find yourself Wow in the most glorious garden it's springtime or maybe it's a full summer you stretch your little wings and you head out to explore and what do you find there in this garden full of flowers and plants bushes and trees mossy logs and gurgling streams allowing yourself some moments exploration in this garden of flowers and maybe you realize that you're needed back at the hive so you fly back and perch on top of the same flower that you're resting in and feeling into the earth below you feeling Mother Earth holding you just like the flower was holding you as a bee feeling your body resting down on the surface below you now reconnecting to your earthly human body feeling the head the shoulders and the arms back the hips and the legs and feet resting on the earth and if you would like to rest a while longer then I deeply encourage you to do so you can just tune out my voice and keep buzzing around in the dreamscape of yoga nidra but if you know that you would like to get back to waking life why don't you bring some more lungfuls of air in and why don't we hum out some exhales preparing to leave this practice just as we entered it humming our way out and you can be playful with your homes they don't have to be one tone you can hum a little song tickling the belly of Mother Earth saying bye for now and maybe the vibrations of the homes have started to awaken the body maybe your little toes and fingers that were sleeping so peacefully might want to wake up and wave at each other a little wiggle maybe your ankles and your wrists want to take a few circles crack a little bit so welcome here and taking any bigger movements that feel nice for your body taking it slow and gentle tuning back into your external environment listening out for sounds you can hear in the room outside the room outside your building on the street and taking the hands up to the eyes now and give yourself a well-deserved little eye massage a little robe around the eyes and the temples and forehead wherever feels nice I'm covering the eyes with the hands slowly slowly blinking the eyes open in the comfort of your hands and then very gradually moving the hands and looking around the room that you're in and sparing some gratitude for the safe space that you have been able to rest and pulls around in and a little smile of gratitude for the practice of yoga nidra how lucky we are to have received these wisdoms from the ancient South Asia maybe giving yourself a little hug bringing the knees in and why not a little kiss maybe you can reach the knees a kiss on each knee or the insides of the arms bringing that love into the rest of your day thank you for practicing with me in this practice of yoga nidra is now complete

Thank you, AstridπŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»I have recently done a couple of yoga nidras where humming is part of it, and I enjoy that. Great pace for the rotation of consciousness, the whole nature experience was fabulous, loved that, a bit of distractive noises in the background. It did not really bring me to a state of bliss, yet brought pleasant relaxation, and, at the end, a fun way to β€œcome back to earth” with massage, and hugs, and kisses.πŸ™πŸ»πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸ™πŸ»
