As spring starts to make itself known,
Let us take this time to deepen our connection with nature as it blossoms both outside and inside our hearts.
Being connected with nature has a profound impact on well-being,
So I invite you to immerse yourself in the beauty around you.
This meditation is best done outdoors,
But if that's not an option,
You can visualize yourself outside within your mind.
So start by finding a comfortable seat,
And allow your spine to straighten and your shoulders to relax.
Close your eyes gently and take a few deep breaths,
Inhaling the freshness of the air around you,
And exhale any residual tension.
We'll begin by visualizing yourself standing at the edge of a lush,
Vibrant forest.
The air is filled with the scent of earth,
The rustling leaves,
And the gentle sounds of nature.
As you step into the forest,
Feel the support of the ground beneath your feet.
Begin a mindful walk through the forest,
And allow each step to be deliberate and intentional.
Engage all of your senses,
Listen to the bird song,
Feel the texture of the ground beneath your feet,
And notice the dance of sunlight filtering through the leaves.
Take the next few minutes of silence to be aware of this mined forest and all the sensations that come with it.
As you walk,
Express gratitude for the intricate details of nature,
Feel a deep sense of interconnectedness with the environment,
And recognize that you are a single part in this intricate web of life.
Feel how you are connected to each tree,
Each flower,
Rock,
Bird,
And animal.
Sense the interdependence everything has to everything else.
Notice how the trees provide the oxygen,
Homes,
And shade needed by living creatures who in turn help the tree to reproduce.
See how fungi can turn materials into fertilizer for other plants,
How the rains help everything to grow.
As you wander through your mined forest,
Find a quiet spot to sit and continue to breathe in the essence of nature.
Acknowledge the beauty around you,
And express gratitude for the serenity it brings to your mind and soul.
When you feel ready,
Slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Gently open your eyes and carry this profound sense of connection and gratitude into the rest of your day.
Until next time,
Never stop growing.
