Begin by finding a comfortable position in your bed.

Let's start by focusing on your breath.

Now bring your attention to your feet.
As you breathe in,
Tense the muscles in your feet,
And as you breathe out,

Move your attention slowly up through your body,
Tensing and relaxing each muscle group in turn.
After your feet,
You'll move up through your legs,
Through your hips and your stomach,
Your chest,
Your arms,
And your shoulders.
And finally,
You'll scrunch up your face and then release,
Feeling your entire body relax.
And just when you think you're completely relaxed,
See if you can make yourself just 5% more.
Go ahead and spend the next few minutes clenching and releasing all of those muscles in turn.
You might find that you need to revisit a muscle group,
Or spend a few breaths on a single muscle.
Do what you need to in order to allow your entire body to relax.
Now imagine yourself standing at the edge of a serene moonlit beach.
The sky is clear and the stars are twinkling above you.
As you walk along the soft sand,
Feel the cool breeze gently brushing against your skin.
With each step,
You feel more and more at peace,
Listening to the gentle sound of the waves lapping against the shore.
Notice how the moonlight reflects off of the water,
Creating a path of shimmering light.
Follow this path with your mind's eye,
Letting it guide you into a state of deep tranquility.
Feel the soft lapping of the water against your feet and ankles,
And notice how the sand sinks and shifts beneath you as you walk.
The light of the moon gives an ethereal feeling to the beach,
And it provides a sense of cleansing to you as you bask in it.
Continue to walk along this beach,
Intuitively moving and exploring as your subconscious chooses.
As you continue to walk along the beach,
Repeat these affirmations to yourself.
I am calm.
I am safe.
I am at peace.
My body is relaxed.
My mind is at ease.
And I am ready for deep,
Restorative sleep.
Allow these words to resonate within you,
Filling you with a sense of security and serenity.
Find a comfortable spot on the sand,
Lying down and looking up at the night sky.
Feel the warmth of the sand beneath you,
The gentle rhythm of the waves nearby,
And the soothing energy of the moonlight above.
As you lay there,
