Welcome.
This is part of the Transient Series.
And it's called heart thaw.
Allow the body to settle.
Naturally.
There is nowhere to go for these next few moments.
Nothing to solve.
Nothing to hold together.
Just the breath.
Notice the weight of your body.
Feel yourself supported by the ground.
Relax your jaw,
Your shoulders,
Your chest.
Relax your throat.
Now without needing to make any changes,
Just simply observe what has been guarded,
What has become quiet.
And what has become cold for carrying too much for too long.
We're going to make your body a more hospitable environment for your soul,
A place that you're welcomed home to.
Begin by bringing awareness into the body.
Start at the top of the head.
Notice any sensation there.
And experience no judgment.
Just let your awareness soften through the forehead,
The space between the eyebrows.
Now the eyes.
Allow the eyes to relax.
As if they no longer need to look for anything.
Now release the jaw.
And let the tongue rest.
Just let the throat soften.
Feel the neck and shoulders.
Notice where they hold weight.
Where is that responsibility that you can now let go of that's been weighing you down?
Maybe it's where they hold silence.
Things on set.
Let gravity begin to hold some of that.
Let it take some of that holding.
More awareness down the arms,
Upper arms.
Elzo.
Forearms.
The right and left hands.
Notice any tension in the fingers.
Are there any places that are still bracing?
Now bring your awareness into the chest,
The ribs,
The lungs.
The heart space.
No need to change anything yet.
Just observe and bring your energy there to relax.
Move that relaxation down the upper back,
The mid back,
The low back.
Notice where you are supported and where you're still trying to hold everything yourself.
Let awareness move into the abdomen.
Soften here if possible,
Even just slightly into the pelvis,
The hips.
Notice what you may be carrying without words.
It's somatic.
Let awareness travel down the legs.
The right leg and the left leg.
Thighs,
Knees,
Calves.
Feel your connection to the ground beneath you.
Nothing to fix.
Nothing to force,
Just the simple act of being here in this body,
Embodied,
As it is,
Right now.
