Greetings,
And thank you for your attention and energy.
My name is Tiffany,
And I'm thankful for you and how you are taking this time out for self-care.
This meditation is for anyone who needs to release or needs to hear that they are allowed to just be.
I would like to first start with you relaxing your entire body in a chair,
On the floor,
Or wherever you are comfortable.
Please take this time to slowly drop into your body.
Release your shoulders,
Rest the tongue in your mouth,
Relax the muscles in your face,
And just breathe.
And close your eyes.
Now I want you to visualize your favorite place or home,
From present to past.
Just drop in.
Remember the colors,
Remember the sounds,
Remember the smells.
Allow yourself to go back there.
Go home.
Go home to that place that always greeted you with love and like.
You are allowed to go home and take care of yourself.
You are allowed to take a nap in the middle of the day and just sleep.
You are allowed to draw a bath and scent it with geranium and rose.
You are allowed to turn off your phone.
Simply.
You are allowed to make things simple with a yes or a no.
You do not always have to explain yourself.
You are allowed to sit on your knees in a garden and worship the sacred greens growing and blooming because God is always there.
You are allowed to breathe when your heart is broken.
The in and the out of love and despair is allowed.
No one is supposed to take that from you.
You are allowed to have feelings.
You do not have to swallow them all to find them later festering in your body as an ailment.
You are allowed to cry and release all of them now.
Dance them out.
Sing them out.
You do not have to be the strongest one in the room all of the time.
You may crumble.
It's allowed.
You are allowed to stop and start over.
You are allowed to make a mistake.
You are allowed to fail and walk away.
It happens in nature all the time.
The gazelle is often conquered by the lion,
But sometimes the gazelle gets away.
There are always winners and losers,
Droughts and growing seasons.
Everyone is going to get their chance at a harvest.
It's only natural.
Because although we live in houses and are secure places,
We are very much attached to nature.
We are an actual mirror of it.
So when you feel down or want to give up,
Just rest and observe nature and see how she flows in and out of good and bad seasons,
Still showing up with the sun every morning and producing boundless miracles.
Like plants finding ways to grow out of cracks in concrete sidewalks or the way water will smooth out a jagged boulder or rock.
Or my favorite,
How the earth births diamonds and amethyst and rose quartz.
Or simply how the smallest seed can grow the largest tree capable of living for centuries.
We are the inhabitants and relatives of this ecosystem.
So how dare we not encourage rest and hibernation or simply embrace failure as just a season.
So go home and take care of yourself.
You are allowed.
And thank you for your listening.
