In this guided meditation, you are invited to stop trying, stop fixing, and stop becoming — and instead rest as what you already are. This is a meditation of effortless being, where nothing needs to be achieved, and nothing needs to be changed. As you settle into the breath and allow the body to relax, attention is gently guided away from thoughts, identities, and effort, and back to the simple fact of being. You begin to recognize yourself not as the body or the movement of the mind, but as the quiet, empty awareness in which all experience appears.

Transcript

Welcome.

Sit down and close your eyes.

Take a moment to settle down into a comfortable position.

Take a deep and slow breath in through your nose,

Hold it,

And exhale completely.

Another deep breath in through the nose,

Filling up your lungs,

Your belly,

Hold it,

And exhale.

Let all of the air flow out of your body,

And relax.

Another slow and steady breath in through your nose,

And at the end,

Hold it,

And exhale.

And at the end of your exhale,

Rest in the stillness.

And now,

Just effortlessly allow your breath to flow in and flow out of your body.

Without you having to do anything,

Feel it flowing in and flowing out,

Entering your body and leaving your body.

Without you having to even think about it,

Life is taken care of.

Just as your heart beats,

Your breath flows,

And the flowers bloom,

Become aware of the fact that you are existing.

Not as your body or your thoughts,

But as an awareness,

Aware of being.

That which is listening to my voice right now,

Without any effort.

That which is aware of your thoughts,

Sense into that beingness,

That existence that has always been with you and has never changed.

When you were 10 years old,

And right now,

The same sense of you,

Take a moment to connect with that empty beingness.

Don't try to be.

Don't try to silence your mind.

Just realize,

Recognize,

That you always already are.

You don't have to do,

Being.

You always already are.

Become aware of that beingness.

Whenever a thought comes up,

Don't try to push it away,

Nor cling to it.

Just realize that it is happening inside of your infinite being.

Every thought that arises,

Arises within you,

And leaves no trace in your infinite being.

They just come and go.

Rest as that awareness,

In which everything arises,

And without trying to change,

Without holding on to anything.

Allow everything to just play out inside of you.

Nothing can affect your true being.

Be the emptiness.

Be the stillness.

Rest as infinity.

Feel the unaffected nature of your true self.

Stay there.

Stay present.

Perfect being,

That is what you are.

Stay aware.

Feel the peace of your true self.
