Welcome,
To day 1 of this 7-day sleep series,
A series of guided meditations designed to help you fall asleep,
And at the same time,
Awaken you to your true nature.
In day 1,
We will focus on gratitude.
Take a moment to find yourself a comfortable position and relax your body.
Let's begin by taking a very slow and deep breath in through your nose,
And at the end,
Hold it,
And exhale completely.
Another slow breath in through your nose,
Hold it,
And exhale,
And let all of the air flow out of your body,
And feel yourself sinking even deeper into your bed.
Allow your breath to find its own slow and calming rhythm,
And now,
Can you become aware of your heart?
Place all of your attention on your heart,
Feel only your heart,
And breathe in and out through the heart,
Feeling the breath flowing in and flowing out of the heart.
Imagine your heart glowing as a soft green light in the center of your chest,
A warm and gentle light carrying the quality of peace and love,
And allow this light to expand with every breath that you take,
Expanding in your chest,
Towards your shoulders,
Relaxing your shoulders,
Dropping them,
And everywhere this light reaches,
It automatically causes relaxation,
Allowing it to expand throughout your whole body,
Bit by bit,
Relaxing every part of your body,
Slowly filling up with the energy of the heart,
With peace and love.
Relax,
And as this light is reaching your head,
Allow it to also calm the mind and the thoughts,
Relaxing every muscle in your face,
Your jaw,
Your eyelids,
And your forehead,
Your whole body,
In a state of peace,
And now,
Allow this light to reach beyond your body,
As a loving cocoon of love and peace,
In which you can rest,
In which you are safe,
Rest,
Inside of the heart,
Now,
First of all,
Let's be grateful for the very fact that you exist,
And feel into that existence for a moment,
Recognize that beyond your thoughts,
Beyond your body,
Beyond your identity,
There is a sense of existing,
Of I am,
The one observing all of this,
Pure existence,
Feel into that,
The very fact that you are,
Without it,
You would not have this experience,
So take a moment to feel heartfelt gratitude for this,
Now,
Consciously bring up something that you are truly grateful for,
This can be a thing,
A person,
Or even a feeling,
And instead of just thinking about it,
Truly feel the gratitude,
Instead of just saying,
I am grateful for this,
Allow yourself to truly feel the sense of gratitude,
And feel that smile in your heart,
And now,
Take a moment to bring up some more things that you are grateful for,
And with all of them,
The most important thing is to truly feel the emotion of gratitude,
Let gratitude carry you deeper into relaxation,
Your heart is calm,
Your mind is quiet,
Your body is ready to rest,
Rest deeply,
Completely surrendered in the embrace of gratitude,
Good night.
