Let the thankful heart sweep through the day,
And as the magnet finds the iron,
So it will find in every hour some heavenly blessings.
That quote is by Henry Ward Beecher.
And now a thought to ponder.
Life is filled with wonder.
Wake each morning as if you're embarking on a new adventure.
View the world with fresh eyes and look beyond what you've seen before.
Even the ordinary is extraordinary.
Our thoughts and perceptions shape our lives.
Rarely do we question what we believe.
What if any of the 60 to 80 thousand thoughts we habitually think each day was misguided?
What if something we were told as kids was simply someone else's belief,
Or the beliefs of the cultures we grew up in and that we've adopted as our own?
What would happen if we question the way we look at life,
The way we look at ourselves,
The way we look at the world?
How would our lives and the lives of others be different?
Gratitude is a game changer.
When we count our blessings and take note of the good in our lives,
Our perceptions of lack,
Of unworthiness,
Doubt,
Fear,
And not-enoughness begin to transform into new ways of living,
Loving,
And being.
We all struggle with challenges from time to time,
Yet the way we view them influences our decisions,
Our relationships,
And our experiences.
For instance,
If we appreciate the good in our lives,
We'll view life as satisfying and abundant.
If we think there's never enough,
Even if we have everything we need at our fingertips,
We'll experience lives of scarcity.
If we value ourselves and our worth,
We'll welcome opportunities that benefit us and others and let go of experiences that limit and no longer serve us.
We are works in progress.
Wherever we are is okay,
But we must ask ourselves if we want to remain in our current experience or choose another way.
What's one belief that's holding you back from the life you'd like to live?
What new belief can you replace it with that affirms and empowers you?
If you feel unworthy,
Affirm your self-worth.
Then ask yourself how you would act if you were worthy.
If you believe there is not enough,
Stop throughout the day and take note of life's natural wonders.
Even the ordinary is extraordinary.
