Welcome.
Settle into your place of rest.
Allow the surface beneath you to take your weight.
Notice the simple truth.
You are being held.
You don't need to hold yourself together right now.
Let your eyes grow soft.
They may close or simply soften.
Gently clench your jaw just for a moment.
Notice the tension there.
Hold it and with your next exhale let it go completely.
Allow the tongue to rest heavy in the mouth.
Perhaps a small slow roll of the shoulders now up towards the ears and then back and down,
Releasing any final bits of holding.
Ease the weight from them as though placing a burden down.
And we breathe together now in through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Again,
Inhale gently through the nose and exhale slowly through the mouth.
Notice how your exhale is naturally growing longer than your inhale.
This is your body's signal that it's safe to rest.
With each exhale,
Feel the body release,
The chest softening,
The belly loosening,
The hips resting,
The legs relaxing into support.
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Imagine your body melting a little more into the surface beneath you like a scoop of ice cream on a warm day.
And if your mind begins to wander,
Simply return to the gentle,
Unhurried rhythm of your breath.
It is always here,
A quiet anchor.
There's nothing you need to do,
Nothing you need to fix.
This time is just for you to be.
Now that the body has begun to soften,
Let's widen your awareness.
Begin with the sounds around you,
The furthest sound you can notice,
Maybe near,
Maybe distant.
Allow it to be here without reaching for it,
Without pushing it away.
Now shift your attention to the feeling of air on your skin.
Is it warm,
Cool,
Still,
Moving?
Notice the texture of the clothing against your body,
The specific feel of a seam or a fold of fabric.
Notice the weight of the surface holding you and the simple truth of gravity.
And then,
As if stepping through a doorway,
Gently turn your awareness inward.
Notice the steady rhythm of your breath moving into the nose and out through the mouth.
Notice the rise and fall of your belly,
The subtle expansion of your chest,
The soft pulse of your heart beneath it all.
Perhaps even a subtle sensation in your gut,
A quiet churning or a feeling of openness.
Those outer and inner sensations weave together like two separate threads of light,
Creating a rich tapestry of this very moment.
The world outside,
The world inside,
Meeting here in your awareness.
And in that meeting place,
You begin to sense something quieter,
Something waiting beneath the noise,
A whisper.
And as you rest in this tapestry of sensation,
Notice how the edges of things begin to blur.
The sound of the room,
The beat of the heart,
The flow of the breath,
All of it weaving together as if the boundaries between inside and outside are softening.
It is here,
In this softened space,
That something else begins to arrive,
Not loud,
Not obvious,
But subtle,
Gentle,
Quiet.
At first,
It may feel like a presence,
A shift in the air,
Or a subtle change in the temperature on your skin.
Perhaps a tingling in your hands or feet.
This is the whisper beginning to take form,
Not with words,
Not yet,
But with a feeling,
The sense that you are not alone.
You may imagine it as a light,
A shadow,
A guide,
Or a part of yourself you've been waiting to meet.
However it comes,
Allow it.
There is no right way to see it,
Only your way.
And now,
As the whisper takes shape,
Notice its quality.
There is a tone to this presence,
Clearer,
Steadier,
Like a soft bell in the distance.
It does not frighten you,
It seeks only to point.
Allow the presence to find a place in your imagination.
You might sense it behind you,
Or at your left shoulder,
Or above your head.
Feel with the body where does this messenger's notice land.
Does it sit in your gut,
Like a small nudge,
A tightness behind the eyes,
A soft ache in your lower back?
Bring a gentle attention to that place.
Place your hand there if it helps.
We will use the breath to listen more clearly.
In through the nose for 4,
2,
3,
4.
Out through the mouth for 8,
2,
3,
4,
5.
Again,
In through the nose for 4,
2,
4.
And out through the mouth for 8,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
7,
8.
With each long exhale,
Allow the messenger's signal to become softer and clearer.
Less drama,
More clarity.
Now,
Silently ask the messenger a simple question,
What gentle truth have I been ignoring?
Listen,
Not with words,
But with sensation,
An impression,
An image,
A tilt in the chest,
A memory,
A small sound.
Let whatever comes,
Come.
If nothing seems to answer,
That's fine.
Stay curious,
Not urgent.
Sometimes the messenger only offers a hint,
Like a feather on the path.
Notice whether the messenger asks for a boundary,
A pause,
A yes with help,
Or a gentle not this way.
Sense what the body knows about that request.
And as you sense it,
Give yourself a small soft permission to act later,
To say no,
To rest,
To rearrange one thing.
You do not need to solve everything right now,
Only to recognize the note and let it be encoded in your body.
Take one more breath together,
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth,
Feeling the messenger's presence settle into a clear,
Quiet signal you can return to.
When you're ready,
Gently visualize the messenger stepping to the side,
Making space for another companion to arrive.
As the messenger steps gently aside,
Notice what begins to merge in the space they've left.
The air feels lighter,
Brighter.
There's a playful spark here,
Like a candle flickering in a dark room,
Or a child's laughter heard from far away.
This is the whisper of desire,
The dreamer,
The part of you that hums quietly beneath the noise,
Always waiting for your yes.
Allow the dreamer to appear in whatever form feels natural,
A younger version of you,
A creative muse,
A future self who already knows how it feels to live freely,
Or simply a color,
A shape,
A rhythm that brings a smile.
Notice where this whisper lives in your body,
Maybe a sparkle behind the eyes,
A warmth in the chest,
A tingle in the fingertips,
Or a softening in the corners of your mouth.
We'll use the breath to approach it,
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Let each inhale draw the spark closer,
Each exhale giving it room to glow.
Silently ask the dreamer,
What is the smallest yes I can live this week?
Listen,
Not for words,
But for impressions,
A flutter,
A picture,
A sensation,
Something that makes you feel just a little more alive.
And if nothing comes clearly,
That's perfectly fine,
The dreamer is patient,
Even the faintest curiosity is a doorway.
With one more gentle breath,
Inhale through the nose,
Exhale through the mouth.
Let the dreamer's spark settle into your body as a soft glow you can carry forward.
As the dreamer's glow settles within you,
Notice how the messenger lingers too,
Steady and calm at your side.
Two whispers,
One protective,
One playful,
One guiding you away from what does not serve,
The other guiding you toward what longs to live.
Imagine now that you are standing at a crossing place,
Perhaps a small bridge,
A circle of light,
A doorway between worlds,
And at this threshold,
Both the messenger and the dreamer come to meet you.
Notice how they do not compete,
They are not in conflict,
They are two sides of the same current,
One shaping the banks,
The other carrying you forward.
Take a breath in through the nose,
And out through the mouth,
And feel these two whispers weaving together inside you,
Like two threads of light crossing and spiraling around your heart and down your spine,
Anchoring you in your center.
Silently ask,
Not with your mind,
But with your body's knowing,
Messenger,
What small step reduces future shouting?
Dreamer,
What smallest brave yes can I live this week?
And let the answers come as sensations,
Impressions,
Symbols,
Whatever form they need to take.
Feel them weaving now,
Protection and desire,
Boundary and permission,
Guidance and spark,
All twinning together as one.
Breathe with this weaving,
Inhale through the nose,
Exhale through the mouth.
Feel the harmony of both whispers settling into your body as a single thread of truth.
Now that the two whispers have woven together,
Take a moment to let your body rehearse what it means to listen.
Bring one hand gently to your heart,
Feel the warmth of your palm,
The steady beat beneath.
This is your anchor,
A quiet,
Reliable signal.
We'll create a simple rhythm you can return to anytime.
Three steps,
Notice,
Name,
Nurture.
First,
Notice,
Hand to heart,
One slow breath into the nose and out through the mouth.
Notice,
The signal is now a physical sensation.
Second,
Name,
Silently ask yourself,
Is this the messenger or the dreamer?
There's no need to be exact,
Just sensing.
Is it a protective nudge or a playful spark?
Third,
Nurture,
Ask yourself,
What is the smallest,
Bravest step?
It could be a pause,
A boundary,
A breath,
Or a brave yes.
It might be sending a text,
Setting a timer for 10 minutes of work,
Or simply drinking a glass of water.
Notice,
Name,
Nurture,
This is your way back to the whisper.
And as you practice this,
Remember,
You are not the noise,
You are the one who hears,
You are not the mass,
You are the breath that remains.
Breathe that truth in through the nose,
Exhale it through the mouth,
And let it settle through the heart,
The spine,
The whole body.
And now,
Begin to sense the edges of the moment returning,
The room around you,
The simple presence of your body here,
Now.
Take a slow breath in through the nose,
And let it out gently through the mouth,
Allowing your body to feel different,
Not necessarily better.
The messenger and the dreamer remain with you,
Not as voices outside yourself,
But as threads woven into your being.
Feel the hand at your heart one last time,
This anchor is always here.
Whenever the world grows loud,
You can return to it,
And the whispers will return to you.
Take one more deep breath in through the nose,
And a long,
Easy exhale through the mouth.
And when you're ready,
Gently wiggle your fingers,
Your toes,
Maybe roll your shoulders,
Or turn your head.
Allow movement to slowly bring you back.
And now,
Thank you for showing up for yourself today.
Carry this truth with you,
The whisper within is never small,
It is the current that guides,
Protects,
And brings you alive.
It has always been here,
And now,
You have returned to it.
