This is a 5-minute guided meditation practice on inner stillness. Begin this practice shortly after awakening. Tune into your breath and your body. Reflect on all that is working for you, giving you the ability to have this time to yourself, to have this day in your life. As you feel more relaxed in your body, you feel more aligned with the present moment. Tune into a sense of stillness within you. Become aware of all the good feelings you’re feeling. Affirm that you choose to feel good and that you give yourself the gift of feeling good today. Music by Chris Collins

Begin this meditation shortly after awakening,

Allowing yourself to get into a comfortable seated position,

Whatever that looks like to you.

Rest your hands comfortably on your lap and whenever you're ready,

Softly close your eyes.

Begin to tune in to your breath and your body.

Let your belly be soft and loose so that it may expand as you breathe in and contract as you breathe out.

Tune in to how sweet and gentle the morning air feels,

As if the air itself is saying good morning into your lungs.

Feel a gentle eagerness within yourself as they feel happy to be awake for another day.

As you begin to feel happy and awake for another day,

Consider for just a moment how miraculous and incredible it is that you are here right now.

Consider all that's working for you,

Giving you the ability to listen to this.

To have this time for yourself.

To have this day in your life.

With appreciation flowing throughout your being.

Become aware of how you can relax more into this moment.

Letting go of any muscles you do not need to use right now.

Allowing the muscles in your face to go slack.

The muscles in your arms and legs may drop down with the weight of gravity.

Allow your body to only use that which is necessary right now.

Letting the rest of your body relax.

And as you feel more and more relaxed in your body,

You feel more and more aligned with the present moment.

Appreciating each moment as it is and recognising a sense of reverence for this day.

Tune in to a sense of stillness within you.

Increase your awareness of this stillness by letting it be what you focus on right now.
