I am Kumari Sky,

The Relaxationist,

And I wanted to take a few minutes to Share what Yoga Nidra is.

Yoga Nidra is a deep rest practice.

It is a systematic set of techniques.

That take the body and mind and spirit,

The layers of your consciousness,

Into a state of deep relaxation.

You're guided.

Into a space where your brain waves.

Are really slow.

And when you're in this state,

This is the place where healing,

Regeneration,

Balancing,

Whatever is needed,

Happens.

It's akin to sleep.

But you're not sleeping,

You're resting in this liminal space.

Between waking and sleeping that's called the hypnagogic state.

The best thing I think about yoga nidra is that it's completely effortless.

Anyone can do it.

There's no need to have any experience.

And all you need to do is find yourself in a comfortable position.

And allow the guide's voice to take you into this deep state of rest.

You can do it morning,

You can do it noon,

You can do it at night.

And in fact,

Yoga Nidra has really become popularized in recent years due to its ability to enhance your sleep cycle.

There's so many benefits of yoga nidra.
