So yoga nidra is not only a practice, but a state of consciousness, and in this state we have access to the inner chambers of the mind or the subconscious and this is where we can effortlessly bring change to our habitual thoughts, beliefs, and storylines through the use of intention or in Sanskrit, Sankalpa. Not only that, but our physical body also receives great benefits when we consciously guide ourselves into these slower brain wave states-healing, reorganizing, and recalibrating happen once we arrive there, just as a good night's sleep can leave you refreshed and feeling amazing, so too can this practice.
