Ah,
Let's settle into the body and close the eyes.
Feel the feet on the floor,
Butt in the chair,
Maybe wiggle your shoulders and relax.
Get that energy out.
Roll the neck,
Finding a posture that's awake and alert.
Excuse me.
But not stiff.
You just want to drop the shoulders away from the ears.
Just feel the body sitting here,
Held in place by gravity,
Noticing any place in the body that's asking for attention.
You could bring your awareness to that part of the body,
Bringing to mind any intention you had when you sat today,
This morning,
Now,
Just allowing the intention to be there.
Notice if you're open to other possible outcomes,
If you're attached to that outcome in particular,
Or is it just a direction,
An intention?
You may have many intentions,
Just bring them in the foreground so they can be seen,
Known.
Nothing to do with them,
Just notice.
The smile in the eyes,
Softening the eyes with a smile,
And that may spread to the rest of your face,
That's okay.
Just breathing,
Noticing the quality of the breath,
Temperature of the air as it comes in.
How your skin feels against your clothes as the chest expands and contracts.
Anytime the mind wanders,
You can always come home and notice the breath,
Bringing to mind the time in your life where you were clear it wasn't going to work out,
And it worked out better than you imagined.
Just one area,
You were upset,
Disappointed,
Sad,
Notice those feelings of frustration,
Sadness,
Maybe anger,
Disappointment,
Allowing yourself to feel those in the body.
Moving on,
Just noticing what it really was like for you in those moments.
Then if you look at the other end of the stick,
How did it turn out?
How does that feel the way it turned out,
When it turned out better than you hoped?
Sometimes you have to zoom out of the timeline a little bit,
Take a look at the bigger picture.
You may notice many examples,
But if you zoom out far enough,
It's trending to always working out.
Feeling a sense of gratitude for that flow,
That direction,
And it may be that there's something you're frustrated by today,
Disappointed with,
Saddened by,
Angry about.
If you let yourself just experience those feelings without resisting them or trying to change them,
Adjusting them,
Just notice the area.
See if you can zoom out.
Is it possible that you just haven't reached the end of that yet and it's on its way to working out?
Just sitting and playing with that.
Just sitting with the experience of gratitude in your body,
Wherever you feel that.
Be willing to be grateful for the challenges,
For the dark,
The lesson,
The opportunity for growth,
The chance to get bigger.
You don't have to,
But you could.
Maybe something to be grateful for,
You're always on the path,
On the right place,
On the right path.
