Welcome to the Butterfly's Whisper Meditations.
I am very happy to be with you again tonight.
And tonight we are going to learn to listen to that silent language your body has been speaking since the very beginning.
Long before words.
Long before you learned to speak yourself.
We rarely speak to our body as to an ally.
We command it,
Push it.
Correct it.
Sometimes blame it for not keeping up with the pace we impose on it.
Tonight we are going to reverse this movement.
Rather than giving orders to yourselves.
We are simply going to listen to them.
The way you would listen to an old friend who has a lot to share.
If only you would give her the time to speak.
Every cell in your body has been working.
Since the very first day of your existence.
Without ever stopping.
And tonight it may deserve a bit of attention in return.
This dialogue does not take place with words.
It happens through listening.
Through silence.
Through that quality of presence we rarely offer.
To what has been carrying us since forever.
Imagine for a moment your body as a vast old house.
Inhabited by thousands of discreet little presences.
Each one busy with its task.
Each one watching over a precise corner without ever leaving its post.
Some are repairing an invisible crack.
Others are transporting water and light from one room to another.
Others still stand guard near the windows.
Watching over what comes in and what goes out.
They ask nothing in return.
Except perhaps.
From time to time.
A bit of silence.
So they can work peacefully without interruption.
Without haste.
This meditation is a relaxation support.
And in no way replaces medical treatment.
Diagnosis.
Or follow up with your doctor.
Whom it remains essential to consult for any health question.
With that in heart and mind.
We can now gently return our attention to this moment.
And to your own inner space.
Settle into night in a particular way.
One hand placed on your chest.
The other on your belly.
Without expecting anything from this gesture except the quiet presence of your own hands.
Silent witnesses of the movement of your breathing.
And now the meditation will begin shortly.
Bring your attention to the palm resting against your chest.
Imagine that a very deep sound.
Almost inaudible.
Similar to the lowest note of a cello.
Begins to vibrate just beneath your hands.
This sound is not coming from outside.
It seems to rise from inside your body itself.
As if every cell in your chest were gently starting to hum on the same frequency.
The vibration travels up along your neck.
Reaching your jaw.
Which loosens.
Your face.
Which relaxes.
Feature by feature.
Your eyelids grow heavy.
Carried by this continuous baseline that seems to say,
Without words.
That nothing here needs to be supervised.
The top of your skull in turn begins to resonate softly.
An almost imperceptible vibration.
Like a cord held in suspension.
The sound then descends again.
Passes through your chest.
Glides between your ribs that spread a little with each exhalation.
Passes through your shoulders.
Which dropped.
And slides down along your arms to the hand resting on your belly.
There it perhaps meets.
A more tense area.
A place in the body that has been holding an old worry for a long time.
The vibration does not try to force this tension to disappear.
It simply accompanies it.
Vibrates with it.
Until the tension itself comes into harmony and releases gently.
Like a too tight string that is finally allowed to return to its natural shape.
This continuous baseline continues its descent through your hips.
Your thighs.
Your knees.
Your calves.
Down to the soles of your feet,
Where it finally emerges.
Like a note that fades after having traveled all around a room.
Every cell it has passed through seems to have received for a brief moment.
An attention it may have been waiting for a long time.
Now feel your whole body subtly vibrating at this same deep and reassuring frequency.
There are no more isolated zones.
No more forgotten regions.
Everything from the roots of your hair to the tips of your toes.
Resonates with the same sustained note.
Patient.
Continuous.
Let an ancient thermal garden appear on your inner screen.
Nestled in the hollow of a lush green valley.
Where hot springs have been rising directly from the rock for centuries.
A light mist rises above the natural stone pools.
Sketching in the air shapes that vanish as soon as they are formed.
You slowly step down into one of these pools.
And the hot water.
Rich in minerals.
Wraps around your body with an almost tangible softness.
A liquid weight that supports every muscle without asking it for the slightest effort.
Under your feet.
The rock has been polished by generations of bathers before you.
Smooth.
Warm.
Welcoming.
The water strokes your skin with a particular texture.
Slightly oily.
Almost silky.
Left by the minerals it carries from the depths of the earth.
The air around you holds a light mineral scent.
Almost salty.
Mingled with the smell of moss covering the surrounding stones and the aromatic herbs growing freely on the banks of the pool.
You hear the discreet lapping of the water.
Moving slowly.
Steady sound of a spring that keeps on flowing somewhere behind you.
Feeding the pool without ever running dry.
You close your eyes.
Let the warmth of the water seep under your skin.
Reaching the deepest muscles.
Those we so often forget to listen to.
You feel this warmth circulating.
As if every cell in your body were drinking.
As needed.
What this spring has to offer.
Nothing is in a hurry here.
The water continues to seep from the rock.
Patient.
Generous as it has always done.
Long before your arrival.
Long after your departure.
A little farther away.
A small waterfall feeds the neighboring pool.
Its water sliding down natural stone steps before joining yours.
The sound it makes changes slightly according to the height of the drop.
A subtle variation that accompanies your breathing.
Without ever dictating it.
You rest your head against the edge of the pool and the stone.
Warm as well.
Supports your neck like a patient hand that has nothing else to do but be there.
Today is tomorrow.
Never tiring of this discreet role.
Little by little the contours of the pool begin to blur.
Hot water that enveloped your body.
Becomes the warmth of your blanket.
The same silky texture.
The same reassuring weight.
The polished rock beneath your feet turns into a sheet.
And the sheet turns back into rock.
Each blending into the other.
Without it being necessary to choose.
The steam that was rising above the pools now settles directly on your skin.
A worm.
Invisible mist that covers every part of your body.
With the same even softness.
You no longer quite know whether you are breathing air or steam.
And this uncertainty does not worry you.
It wraps itself around you.
The lapping of the water slows down.
Spreads out.
Turns into a more intimate movement.
That of your own breath.
Rising and falling with the same quiet regularity.
Spring that was flowing behind you.
Turns into an inner murmur.
As if your own blood.
Your own breath.
Had taken on the role of that generous water that never stops.
The mineral scent of the thermal garden slowly fades.
Replaced by the familiar smell of your pillow.
Your room.
This place where you know you can rest without being watched.
The stone pool now seems to match exactly the shape of your lying body.
As if it had always been carved to welcome you.
You alone.
On this particular night.
The little waterfall is changing too.
Its trickling becomes the discreet rustling of the blood circulating under your skin.
A continuous.
Generous movement that has never stopped since your birth.
That will not stop tonight.
You do not need to supervise it for it to keep flowing.
It knows exactly where to go.
Just as it always has.
Every cell in your body.
Those in your chest.
Your belly.
Your hands.
Your feet.
Continues to bathe in this diffuse warmth.
Without the need for the slightest instruction.
They know.
They have always known.
What is right to do while you sleep.
You only have to trust them.
The way we trust a spring that flowed long before us.
Will continue long after.
The water.
The steam.
Your bed.
Your skin.
Everything has gathered into a single continuous sensation.
Enveloping warmth that no longer distinguishes inside from outside.
The thousands of little presences that inhabit this inner house continue their quiet work.
Without noise.
Without waiting for orders.
Carried as well by the same diffuse warmth that has filled every corner.
You glide.
Carried by this water that has become sleep.
Toward a rest as deep as it is patient.
As silent as it is faithful.
And if you are not asleep yet.
Repeat the following positive affirmations.
Until you fall asleep.
Your unconscious will then take over.
My body works for me every second.
Even when I do not think about it.
I listen to the messages of my body with kindness.
Rather than with fear.
Every cell in my body deserves my attention.
My gentleness.
I trust the ancient wisdom of my organism.
I let my body rest as deeply as it needs.
My breathing nourishes every part of me.
Even the most discreet.
I thank my body for all it accomplishes in silence.
I allow myself to slow down so that my body can regenerate.
My body.
My mind move forward together.
In good harmony.
I choose gentleness toward myself rather than constant demand.
Each deep breath is a message of calm for my whole being.
I make room every night.
For my body to repair itself.
I welcome the signals from my body instead of pushing them away.
My deep relaxation supports the silent work of my cells.
I grant myself the right to rest without guilt.
My body knows how to regain its balance when I give it time.
I breathe in serenity.
Release what no longer needs to be carried.
I treat my body as a precious ally.
Not as an opponent.
Every night of sleep is an opportunity for my body to restore itself.
I cultivate patience toward a body that is doing its best.
My inner warmth guides every cell toward more calm.
I fall asleep in trust.
Letting my body do its work.
I honor the needs of my body instead of ignoring them.
My well-being begins with the gentle attention I give myself each evening.
I consider my body as a precious home.
That I inhabit with gratitude.
Every little presence within me works for my balance.
Day and night.
I let the frequency of rest circulate through each of my cells.
I grant myself the right to go slowly.
Listening to my own limits.
I team up with my body rather than fighting against it.
